Shining bright light on U.S. Attorney General selection
In her blog entry, The Mukasey nomination in jeopardy: Why appeasing Democrats gets you nowhere, columnist Michelle Malkin exposes Democrat duplicity.
Judge Michael Mukasey, the White House pick for U.S. Attorney General was selected over conservative, former U.S. Solicitor General, Ted Olson. Mukasey, dubbed the “consensus candidate,” was picked after top Democrats threatened to block Olson’s confirmation.
Mukasey, now the object of their scorn, was named in an attempt to overt a partisan war and appease Liberal New York Senator and Hillary Clinton’s seatmate, Charles Schumer.
The Washington Post details the Dem’s change of heart and sharp turn away from the Mukasey nomination.
A vote in the Senate judiciary Committee is expected to take place next week.

I bet you a dollar that the nomination will go through!

Now there’s a bet to take!
I’m not bonded to Mukasey. Would have much preferred Ted Olson. What disturbs me is the willingness of the all-too-eager-Right to cave to the demands of the Left. Payback is not only hell—it is non-existant!!

The dems are certainly trustworthy people to “do business” with. I’d trust most of them as far as I can throw my house.

Even with the Leahy news, I still maintain my bet!
