It has everything to do with lawbreakers, regardless of their skin color, who are aided and abetted in their lawlessness by our elected officials. Far from being "draconian" the employer sanctions law is necessary and is already showing itself to be effective. You obviously have no regard for a fence to protect our southern border and infer that such a device would be ineffective. It certainly has worked in Israel as the citizens here feel the need to protect themselves and their children from terror attacks. Do you think the only people who gain entry into the United States are Mexicans? Think again. Border agents have apprehended numerous others, many from known terrorist nations. How many do you suppose have gotten through successfully, Mr. Kraus? Your arrogant attitude is not conducive to engaging in discussion. I don't know you or anything about you, but you really do need to tone down your bluster. We all have our areas of expertise, business acumen and life experiences. Lawlessness that begins with illegally entering our country, continues on with many illegals after they arrive. You need only read the newspaper accounts of criminal activity to realize this fact. How welcoming would you be to someone breaking into your home? This is no different. As to the AZ senators you seem so fond of...they have sold us out and betrayed us, lying to get elected and acting adverse to their own promises immediately after getting back in office. All of the people I work with feel exactly the same way. And BTW, quite a few of them are democrats!! They are opposed to illegals also--even two of them of Mexican heritage. The (so called) brown skinned invaders are deporting themselves voluntarily because our economy tanks. The gravy train, called CONSTRUCTION by which Arizona has weathered the ups and downs of economical cycles in the past has come to a screeching halt. In addition the draconian measures of the so called employers sanction law has scared the living shadows out of major investors who had plans to invest in Arizona. It has caused them to go elsewhere to other states or off-shore. Save the money for a fence, it will be better spend on federal assisted unemployment compensation for our citizens, many of which have or will lose their obs and homes. Just for a little mathematical exercise, for every six of the presumed 12 million "Illegals" one dwelling unit will be vacated. That amounts to two million homes or apartments and that will add to the pressure on the vacant inventory of the secondary Real Estate Market. I do not expect everyone on this panel understands what I am talking about , and please you do not need to take my word for it, just show it to a Realtor you know and trust and ask his opinion. I won't even bother you to grasp the potential loss resulting from the disappearance of 12 million "illegal" consumers from the American (U.S.) market place. Again I question if each of you can understand that but try to visualize that you and your family earn and spend X number of dollars every month. The number for X is not the same for everybody. The correct number for X for Bill Gates is considerably higher than the number X for the fellow that has his place of begging on the off Ramp of I-17 and Cactus. For the so called "Illegals" and their wives and children I peg that amount to be $14.00 per day per person on average. That is a conservative estimate. Therefore the U.S. Economy will have to do with $168.000.000.00 less, in consumer spending per day once we get rid of those "Illegals" Correspondingly we will also have to be satisfied with the loss of an enrichment in services rendered or infrastructure created by those "Illegals" on the other side of the scale. And that is for every day and every day until we have brought an equal amount of new "Legal" citizen into our nation. Again, I do not expect for all on this panel to understand economics as I do, but for those that were interested in a serious discussion they can find me in the phone book, I would be pleased to help them learn and understand.
