I think Commissioner Mayes will make a great Member of Congress. CD-1 has a lot of water and power issues facing it in the near future, and someone like Ms. Mayes seems to me to be the perfect candidate to tackle those issues.

Charlie Conservative, I'm not quite sure what connection you think you see between Congressman Salmon lobbying the Commission in the past and supporting Commissioner Mayes now. Sounds like one conspiracy theory too far.

Anyway, the important thing is to keep this seat in the red column, and the best candidate to do that is Kris Mayes.

I find Kris Mayes's insider trading issue back when she was with the Arizona Republic in 2000 very troubling. Any Democrat opponent is just waiting to investigate that one further.

Kris Mayes's "exploratory" finance chairman is a Malcolm Barrett who is chairman of the National Propane Gas Association based in Washington DC. As an Arizona Corporation Commissioner focusing much of her time and efforts on the oil and gas industry isn't it a bit unethical of her to be financed and influenced by this Washington based propane industry lobbying group?

Good thinking, Keen O. Congressman Trent Franks showed a great deal of independence and spirit in his early endorsement of Duncan Hunter. You can bet McCain won't forgive that. Sydney Hay will have to work doubly hard to fend off the McMachine. She's one sharp lady, and I believe she can do what it takes.

But watch the McForces come out for Kris Mayes. That will be the retaliation at full steam. This is all so transparent. No wonder Mac and his devious minyons are so adored by those who know what they are about.

Charlie, your analysis breaks down a little when it is pointed out that Shadegg as well as Franks opposed McCain's Amnesty bill. But when you realize that Shadegg endorsed McCain for Pres in the primaries and Franks endorsed Hunter, you see how the elite class plays the game. McCain has placed a target on Franks' back.

Seeing Red. you never fail to make me puke with your political dissecting of these corrupt, elite, formaldehyde, Republican frogs. I have had to order mouth wash by the barrel to bath in after reading your latest expose. The Republican bosses are so controlled by McCain now that they plot to do away with any real conservative who won't go along with the McCain agenda. Salmon endorsing Mayes! Give me a break.

This is McCain sending a message to Trent Franks for opposing McCain's Amnesty Plan. Sydney Hay has been a long time confident and campaigner for Franks. And tell me again how much the conservative wing should do to elect McCain. Ain't gonna happen with the liberals firmly in control of the Republican Party. McCain will have to do it with his liberal base.

Just think how much damage a president McCain can do by reaching across the aisle for enthusiastic Democrat support and cowering Republicans afraid to oppose his agenda. Better brush up on your Spanish lingo.
