“For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country”

Quite a statement for a 44 year old American woman

Michelle Obama’s comment is more than a faux pas. And Barack Obama’s attempts to quell the storm surrounding her shameful remarks, simply don’t wash:

He said her newfound pride is about the political system and was not meant to disparage her country…”Statements like this are made and people try to take it out of context and make a great big deal out of it, and that isn’t at all what she meant,” Obama said. “What she meant was, this is the first time that she’s been proud of the politics of America,” he said. “Because she’s pretty cynical about the political process, and with good reason, and she’s not alone. But she has seen large numbers of people get involved in the process, and she’s encouraged.”

Ha! Barack has to explain and clarify her comments? Michelle Obama knew full well what she intended to say, and she actally was video tapped saying it on two seperate occasions. The woman has a degree in sociology from Princeton University and a law degree from Harvard. She doesn’t need anyone to explain away her outlandish words.

Joe: you zoned in on Michelle Obama perfectly.

  3. Neocon News » She said it TWICE and she meant it. Also, life doesn’t suck, so stop demanding that it does. Says:

The Obama’s have their own agenda.

And, why is it that the term “racist” is never used to describe anyone but Whites? Obviously many Whites are supporting Obama, but few Blacks are supporting anyone else.

  5. Elizabeth Says:

What a great First Lady she’d make. Sure would make me proud! Not!

  6. Roney Says:

Not sure we should jump to conclusions as to what country she was referring. Remember, she is African first, then American. Perhaps she meant another country.
