    Nice to see this issue is getting national coverage. The local press is worthless unless it is a pet issue such as open borders.

    The city needs this $97.4 million “economic stimulus” like it needs a shot in the… head.

    And to fund this RETAIL boondoggle they’re going to hike SALES TAXES? Phil Gordon and crew have clearly never figured out the correlation between increased prices and reduced consumption. Nor have they figured out that the Valley is already top-heavy with retail employment.

    And in exchange they’re getting temporary PARKING SPACES?

    They must be loonier than a bag of Canadian dollars.

    Major Philly is in Dubai looking for business deals. Maybe he can get the Arabs to fund this project? He said he wants a direct flight between Phoenix and Dubai put in place. Makes a ton of sense to me. Nearly everyone I know has vacationed in Dubai.
