Bad Time for Green Schemes

Higher taxes to fight global warming would create political and economic disaster.

Phil Kerpen, policy director for Americans for Prosperity, writing for National Review, points out that the Lieberman-Warner bill would cost over $600 billion per year—or $2,000 a year for every man, woman, and child in this country. Also, it would achieve no discernable impact on global climate change.
