Sheriff Arpaio doing the job he was elected to do
A couple of days ago we read that Phoenix Mayor, “Sanctuary City” Phil Gordon, was ”disappointed” that Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio isn’t coordinating his law enforcement efforts with Gordon’s onetime chief of police, Jack Harris. After retiring, Harris was rehired and gifted by Gordon with the new civilian job title, Phoenix Public Safety Manager.
In fact, due to this charade, Phoenix doesn’t actually have a chief of police.
So, the sheriff of one of the largest counties in the nation is supposed to take a back seat to Phil’s civilian re-hire. Apparently, Phil is unaware that the jurisdictional authority of the sheriff is concurrent with that of any of the city police agencies within the county. Arpaio is well within legitimate bounds.
According to today’s daily Arpaio’s roundups of illegal aliens is rankling the mayor, who calls them “made- for-TV stunts.” The citizens of Maricopa County, obviously are not of that opinion. Arpaio’s consistantly high poll numbers remain in the stratosphere.
Gordon is visibly honing his own headline-grabbing techniques, with the willing acquiescence of the daily newspaper. In his quest to succeed Gov. Napolitano and casting an eye towards his pro-illegal constituency, Gordon blasted Arpaio’s latest roundup of illegals at a luncheon honoring controversial union organizer Cesar Chavez—accusing the sheriff of acting in a way “that deliberately sets the stage for shouting matches, confrontations or worse.”
Meanwhile Sheriff Joe Arpaio is receiving accolades from harried merchants, weary of illegals impeding their businesses, who called upon him to enforce the law.

Pedro and Angela in southern mexico just heard the phoenix mayor says not to arrest illegals. Pack up honey! We’re heading for Phoenix where the mayor will make things nice for us! Maybe they won’t die or get raped on the way here.
Pedro and Angela in southern mexico just heard the Maricopa County Sheriff arrests illegal aliens. They try to avoid Maricopa County or better yet, they are entirely discouraged from leaving home. They decide instead that they can work to improve conditions in their town, or move to another town in their own country. Either way, Phoenix REALLY wins.

Anyone who is foolish enough to vote Gordon into the governor’s office deserves what they get. The guy is a total joke as mayor and apparently got re-elected due to an extremely low voter turnout. Napolitano is bad enough, this guy would be worse. We need the next governor to continue the work the legislature is doing to protect Arizonans from illegal invaders. Oklahoma has seen a reported 100,000 illegals depart due to tough new laws- we need twice that number leave Arizona.
Keep Arpaio, Thomas and Pearce in office and throw out ANYONE who is pro-illegal alien. Otherwise we risk Arizona turning into California.

Sherri AZ:
Have you ever read Victor Davis Hanson’s book Mexifornia? It’s an eye-opening view into Arizona’s future. We must secure our borders!!

This is what happens when only the city employees and unions think the council and mayoral elections are worth voting in. They protect their self interests and the rest of us, sitting home and not bothering, get the brunt of their votes. We need to get active again and get our neighbors to vote along with us.

Phil Gordon is the real showboater. His audience are the illegals and their allies, who he would like to see voting—for HIM!

(Oh no!!!) Mr. Phil is badly informed and advised to make comments like these – apparently Sheriff Arpaio’s roundups have netted a large number of people with outstanding warrants already. Sure he’s a publicity hound – but he’s more effective in his role than Phil Gordon ever will be while holding public office.
I’m sure he’d like Arpaio to be benched – in fact, he’d like anyone concerned with Phoenix’s rising crime levels to be benched. I’ve seen one of the benches and I’d have to say that particular area where it’s situated is probably one of the lowest crime rate areas in the Valley. Your tax dollars at work!

Phil is a mini-McCain. They both appear to put the rights of American citizens far behind the illegals–who are (hopefully) unable to vote for them. What do they gain other than incurring the voter’s fury? On the other hand, both of them keep getting re-elected. What’s going on here?

Dear Phoenix City Council,
It was very disturbing to read about Mayor Gordon’s behavior, in respect to Sheriff Arpaio’s efforts, to rid our city of illegal immigrants.
If the City Of Phoenix would stop siding with illegal immigrants, and stop encouraging them to stay, and continue breaking our laws, and draining our social services, and burdening our taxpayers, perhaps the illegal immigrants would leave on their own.
City officials need to realize that the object is to have illegal immigrants leave our city, and our state, and that by having our own Mayor Gordon, rail against Sheriff Joe’s actions to rid the city of illegal immigrants, you are in fact sending a message to the illegal immigrants, that you want them to stay.
Our state of Arizona legislature passed some of the best anti-illegal immigrant legislation in the nation, however, if we are going to have Mayor Gordon working against, and speaking out against, this legislation, then the efforts of our state legislors is all for naught.
I would suggest that the Ciity Council decide on an approach towards illegal immigrants that coincides with our state legislation.
I’ll write our state, and federal, legislators, to see if they might agree to meet with Mayor Gordon, and the Phoenix City Council, to encourage cooperation in this matter.
Perhaps Mayor Gordon doesn’t comprehend the anti-illegal immigrant legislation.
Sincerely,

A very concerned citizen.

I wish we could clone Sheriff Joe and put him in every county in the country. Maybe then we could be rid of all the Illegal Aliens. As for the Mayor, he needs to be tried for treason, he is a traitor that has swapped his oath of office to protect and serve the citizens of Arizona, to LaRaza for some votes to get elected to a higher office. He should be ashamed, but it’s obvious he isn’t. How do politicians like him sleep at night. And I won’t even start on McAmnesty, there just isn’t enough room to go there!

If McLame wants to beat Obama or Hillary, he needs to bury the hatchet with Sheriff Joe…and select him as his VP. Whatta move THAT would be! McNasty just might get back a healthy portion of the conservative base that left when he became the GOP’s man.

It grieves every true lawabiding American, who is imvested in this nation and who has history in this nation, that the liberal progressives, and people in the ACLU and the Democratic Party under Nancy Pelosi, and traitorous Republicans, WOULD ALL DENIGRATE AND PUT DOWN A UNITED STATES SHERIFF. A MAN OF HONOR. SOMEONE WHO PROTECTS THE CITIZENRY FROM DANGER EVERY DAY. I know most Americans don’t agree with these politicians. The liberal Democrats often say this nation is just like any other. We must follow what others do. WRONG! American blood, that established Law and Order wil not be torn down by traitors. The American people are going to see to it. Young, and Old alike. It won’t happen. You internationalists are fooling yourselves. God bless the Sheriff.

Buzzm1, Thanks for your effort. I emailed ‘em all. By the way, Joe Arpaio endorsed the liberal Thelda Williams in my district instead of Minuteman, Stacy O’Connell. But, no doubt, all Arizona owes huge thanks to Sheriff Joe. He’s going to have a bloody campaign battle. I hope his mouth doesn’t get him in trouble because all he has to do is stay in the ring with Saban. The voters will solve everything for Joe on election day.
