But, “It’s for the children”
Two reasonable bills dealing with abortion reached the governor’s desk on Friday.
One required parental consent for an underage girl to receive an abortion and the other established state penalties for physicians who perform a gruesome practice of late-term pregnancy termination known as partial birth abortion. Both were given a quick slash of Napolitano’s veto pen.
The governor’s famous mantra has been, “It’s for the children.” She neglected to tell us that “it’ was death.

This governor is shameless. She will do and say anything that will deliver the power she covets. If Barack Obama gets the Dem nomination, I am convinced she will be selected as his Vice President. She came out as one of his earliest endorsers.
That will give BO the ability to cut deeply in John McCain’s home state vote totals, potentially making McCain the Al Gore of 2008. Gore was unable to win his own home state.
She’ll also bring along a pack of voters: women, gays, Indian tribes and all of those who are falling for the “Hope and Change” message.
Think about it.

Joe:
This is spendid but frightening reasoning. I’m afraid you are right on target. She gets the whacked out liberals, amnesty proponents, pro-aborts and the homosexual crowd without lifting a finger. The renaming of Squaw Peak brings the tribes in on a silver platter. This is one issue that breaks down the hostilites among those that distain one another. Then, her early Obama endorsement seals the deal.
This scenario must be giving McCain heartburn. (That is, if he has a heart.)

Napolitano’s veto of the abortion bills is disgusting. How sad to have so little regard for human life.

Janet Napolitano is not a parent. She will never be one. That tells the entire story when weighing her disregard for parents and children. She is a political animal lacking basic values. Abortion fits her agenda to a T.
