Yearning for the bad old days?
Another Democrat has stepped up to challenge popular Maricopa County Attorney, Andrew Thomas.
Launching his campaign on an odd note, Gerald Richard began by accusing Thomas of “incredibly poor judgment,” citing the county attorney’s decision to authorize an emergency wiretap of the “Serial Shooter” suspects.
Citizens will remember that Thomas’s decisive actions brought to a conclusion the terror spree that swept the Valley while two shooters on a lark, randomly killed and maimed residents, as well as shooting dogs and horses.
Richard, a career police legal advisor, joins ACLU attorney and Janet Napolitano’s legal aide, Tim Nelson, as the second Democrat to enter the race. Neither man has administrative experience.
Richard was flanked at his announcement speech by illegal alien advocate, Spanish radio talk show host and political consultant Alfredo Gutierrez and perennial sheriff candidate, Dan Saban. Those endorsements speak volumes as Richard alerts the illegal community to his illegal advocacy agenda.
Saban, running again to unseat “America’s toughest sheriff,” is supported by former Maricopa County Attorney Rick Romley, best remembered for his contentious dealings with Sheriff Joe Arpaio, resulting in ongoing havoc within the law enforcement establishment.
The current Maricopa County Attorney, Andrew Thomas, and county Sheriff Joe Arpaio have forged a congenial working relationship that benefits the people of Maricopa County.
It’s doubtful many voters yearn for a return to the bad old days.

Rick Romley wanted to run for governor. When that didn’t pan out, he began angling to head up the U.S. Bureau of Veteran’s Affairs in DC. That also fell through. Now, with little to take up his time, he continually attempts to micro manage the county attorney’s office. Imagine his reaction if his predecessor had done that when he was elected.
Romley needs to become a greeter at Wal-Mart, and keep himself busy. He has become a pathetic figure, unable to keep his nose out of his old office.

Is this a joke? An endorsement from Dan Saban is worth the proverbial bowl of warm spit President Harry Truman spoke of.
Dan Saban was unable to get elected when he previously ran. So Gerald Richard is reduced to accepting a political wet kiss from a loser. What a coup!!

People in Maricopa are fed up with illegals invading our cities and towns. Pandering to the Hispanic vote will not get these losers into office. Arizonans are wise to them.

Please someone…take Romley to lunch, buy him a book, teach him to fish.

County Attorney Thomas and Sheriff Arpaio are a great team. The fact that their offices work in alliance with one another stands as a glowing example of how things should be within the law enforcement community.
It also shows how they fell to dismal lows when the ego-driven Rick Romley was in charge of the county attorney’s office. The fact that he is endorsing Saban is a huge negative for Saban. And the fact that Saban is endorsing Gerald Richard is laughable. Losers endorsing losers will certainly jump-start all of these leftie campaigns.

Speaking of Romley: His one strong suite is endorsing Democrats. He even endorsed a far left-leaner over GOP Secretary of State Jan Brewer, knowing full well that the SOS is the line of succession to the governor’s office. Now he’s endorsing an opportunistic political switch-hitter for sheriff. What a guyl! The rumor mill is rife with some of Romley’s intrigue solutions to gum up the sheriff’s race. Won’t post them here. Why give him any advantage?
Vince called him “ego-driven.” Can’t improve on that!

Gov. Romley? Rick’s daydream.
I could see Andrew Thomas in the governor’s office one day. He’s exceptionally bright and has the temperament and background to be a successful state leader. And, how great to have him making judicial appointments!
