Marianne is correct. Hate crimes fit the ACLU and other lefty groups ideals of protected classes. Why are some of us accorded greater victim status than others who suffered the same crime? This is preposterous feel goodism that appeals to liberals.

I absolutely despise the notion of “Hate Crimes.” Why should one crime victim get special penalties enacted on the criminal perpetrator over another victim of the same crime–simply because one victim is an ethnic or religious minority or homosexual and the other victim of the exact same crime is a white-bread, run of the mill, mainstreamer.

This is worse than offensive. Glad to read that Seeing Red AZ agrees with me. We are both brilliant!!
