At last week’s markup of the Iraq supplemental appropriations bill, the Senate Appropriations Committee committed an outrageous act of disrespect for our men and women in uniform and to the citizens of this country by adopting an amendment by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) that gives amnesty to illegal-alien agricultural workers.
The amendment indicates a maximum of 1.35 million illegal alien such workers could obtain “emergency agricultural worker status” for a five-year period. Since their families also can obtain this status, it is estimated that the total number receiving an amnesty would reach 3 million. The committee also adopted other immigration-related amendments, including one that drastically expands the H-2B visa program for non-agricultural seasonal workers.
The most important point to stress is that there is no need for an amnesty to provide growers with workers. There already is an H-2A foreign ag worker program that provides growers with an unlimited number of temporary workers if the growers agree to pay a decent wage and ensure that they go home at the end of the season.

It is going to be interesting to see how Johnny boy handles this hot potato that his ‘ol fellow liberal buddy Feinstein tossed him. We will see if he truly “gets it now” and what do you think McKyl will do? Any bets anyone?

Let’s not forget that it was John McCain and Jon Kyl, in concert with their liberal, open border chum, Ted Kennedy, who gave us the original version of this anti-American sham. What baffles me is why any American elected representative of the people would subvert our own interests in favor of those of Mexico.
We would have been better off electing Jim Pederson over Kyl. Pederson would have done something to staunch the flow of illegal trespassers into the United States. I regret my vote for Kyl. McCain? I was on to him years ago and haven’t voted for him in his last two senate races. That’s 12 years, so I pat myself on the back for realizing what a rogue he was before many others saw the light!
Just prior to September 11, 2001, when it was called off, McCain was the subject of a recall. I filled numerous petitions without ever leaving my home. We were having major reconstruction done on our home. Every workman and contractor I dealt with readily signed. A number of them took petitions and returned them filled. The kitchen consultant, alone, brought me three filled petitions! Even our mailman signed! McCain has not been Arizona’s darling for a long time.

As long as there is Democratic domination in the Congress, we will see a continuation of attempts to grant amnesty to illegals without any sort of border enforcement- because the business interests don’t want any. Stories about American citizens living and working out of their cars don’t move these vultures- only the MSM stories about poor Juan who was held against his will in a drop house ( please don’t forget he PAID the coyote to bring him into a country illegally ).

The best government the Mexicans ever had is in the White House and our Congress. They have bent over backwards to give the illegals everything possible at American’s expense. Makes you wonder how much they got for selling out the United States. and the American people.
Our Founding Fathers are rolling over in their graves and I believe they’re ashamed of what Congress is doing; giving America away for their personal proffit.
