Kansas City Archbishop censured for adhering to Church doctrine

Errant Catholic governor on Obama’s VP short-list becomes untouchable

Recently, Kansas City Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann publicly asked Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius to refrain from going to Communion. Sebelius not only supports abortion-on-demand, and works closely with Planned Parenthood, she has received funding from Dr. George Tiller of Wichita. He is nationally known for performing late-term abortions.

Over the past few weeks, Archbishop Naumann has been roundly criticized for his laudable decision as the liberal forces supporting Sebelius for Obama’s Vice Presidential nominee, protectively circle the wagons.

The brief but powerful article from The Catholic League, which is defending the Archbishop, is available here.

Janet Napolitano isn’t as in your face as Sebelius, but the baby is just as dead with Janeo as it is with Sebelius. Too bad Bishop Olmstead wasn’t as forthright as Nauman. Instead of destroying the country by advocating for illegal immigration, it would be nice if the Bishop dropped his socialist Democrat agenda and took the Nauman high road. Well, we can pray can’t we? I wonder if the Catholic Bishops have calculated how many illegals will die crossing the desert this year at the Bishops’ beckoning… Or how many families they will split up by urging illegals to come north. Turns out the Bishops are very much like our out of touch politicians.

    Carrie:
How right you are. I am a lifelong Catholic and conservative Republican who is utterly disgusted with the leftward trend of my church. I wish it watched out for me and my family the way it does for illegal border crossers. The summertime desert deaths are the Church’s responsibilty for encouraging the lawlessness.
