Tragedy in Tucson: Shooting spree targets law enforcement officers

Camouflage-attired David Nicholas Delich, 25, ambushed on-duty officers, wounding two Pima County sheriff’s deputies before shooting a 43-year-old Tucson police officer in the head during a Sunday shooting spree.

Delich surrendered without incident to deputies on Mount Lemmon.

Tucson officer Erik Hite, a married father of two, including a one-year-old daughter and son serving in the military, is not expected to live.

  1. Jonathan Says:

I’d love to serve on this jury!

  2. John Q. Public Says:

Wonder what Delich has accomplished thus far in his young life other than being a cowardly ambusher of those who serve and protect?

  3. Ben Ricci Says:

Chief Miranda needs to re-assign the officers who apprehended this guy to a night shift Walmart security position. As a taxpayer, I want these cops taken off the job immediately. He should have been taken the same way he took Mr Hite’s life.

  4. Anna Says:

What a tremendous sadness and unnecessary acts of brutality. Our hearts and prayers are with Officer Hite’s family.
