Syndicated Columnist Michelle Malkin has a post on her website today that evokes the specter of Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon.
Although she writes about the flagrantly liberal San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, the contemptible slipperiness they have honed to an art form makes them joined-at-the-hip clones.
Both Newsom and Gordon overtly salivate at the prospect of governing their respective states. And both have made explicit overtures to ensure the growing Hispanic bloc will support their candidacies by liberalizing policies to guarantee their respective cities qualify as sanctuaries for illegals.
Malkin details the city approved, special tax-funded shuttle service for illegal alien Honduran drug lords to protect the poor “youths” from federal immigration officials, which Newsom claims to be powerless to control.
And Phil Gordon? Fed up Phoenix residents are attempting a recall of the mush-mouthed panderer who still sounds like he just arrived from Chick-Ah-Go.
Former Congressman J.D. Hayworth has been a relentless force on the issue, using his KFYI talk radio microphone to shine light on the underhanded tactics and deal-making in which Phil Gordon engages.

Newsom authorized same-sex marriages–which in San Francisco amounts to a landslide victory come election day! Half the city will be in favor of that travesty.

I hope JD keeps the momentum going. I’ve had my fill of Phil.

These two both proudly preside over “Sanctuary Cities.”

Sounds like the two libs confer on strategies. At the very least, I imagine they stay in touch.

How long will it be before Philly starts giving the green light to same sex “marriages?”
The law doesn’t seem to hold any great significance for these guys. And does anyone think Gov. Janet Napolitano would oppose such unions?

I’ve noticed Gordon has a slightly demonic appearance. His SF counterpart fancies himself a pretty boy. Newsom dates starlets and was romantically involved with the wife of his campaign manager. He was once married to FOX news babe, lawyer Kimberly Guilfoyle.

San Francisco is a lost cause, but Phoenix stil has a chance due to the recall effort. Such an effort would never even get off the ground in SF. If the people of Phoenix can develop some backbone and oust this creep, it will have a huge ripple effect throughout the Valley and the state. Sanctuary cities like Mesa and Chandler will take a closer look at illegals in their midsts. Illegal supporters from the Rag will be a lot quieter as will activists. The people will have spoken loud and clear. I can’t emphasize enough how historical this could be if the recall effort works and Gordon is voted out.
There may be a light at the end of the tunnel- let’s hope it’s the light of sanity.
