Environmentalists claim border security efforts responsible for floods

Expectations of frogs, lice, flies, pestilence, incurable boils, fiery hail, locusts and darkness?

Environmentalists claim a new border security fence in southwestern Arizona is being built too quickly and without regard for the environment, causing flooding.

Environmental groups have criticized the Army Corps of Engineers and federal contractors for the design and construction of a range of fencing and vehicle barriers along the Arizona-Mexico border.

In particular, they’ve denounced Homeland Defense Secretary Michael Chertoff’s waiver of environmental laws to hasten construction of the 670 miles of fences and other barriers planned by year’s end along the nearly 2,000-mile U.S.-Mexico border, according to a report by Associated Press

Border security fences are also thought to be the cause of malaria, earthquakes, hangnails and overcooked eggs. There are reports of other vile manifestations, still unconfirmed, as a result of attempts to provide security to the citizens of the United States.

We are awaiting reports of the rivers turning to blood.

Ha! You got that right! These “environmentalists” are doubtless open border enthusiasts, who think they have found a foolproof issue to conceal their real agenda. I do enjoy this site!

How about the damage the illegals are doing to the desert?? The trash, human waste, etc. – isn’t that destroying the environment? As usual – pick & choose, pick & choose based on their agenda at the time.

Liked your biblical inserts! These folks sound as though they are less worried about the environment (Good point, Kathy!) than they are giving cover to the continued flood of low-wage illegal workers.
