All over the country people are showing up by the thousands for grassroots protests of wasteful government spending in general, and President Obama’s stimulus package and budget in particular.
The idea is catching on with wildfire speed as tea party protests around the country — inspired by the Revolutionary War era Boston Tea Party, protesting excessive British taxation — gain momentum.
Energized people, galvanized by their fury are showing up at the events, taking place in city after city in every state in the union. The events so far have been largely ignored by the mainstream media.
Seeing Red AZ urges participation and includes the following list of April 15th rallies around Arizona.
In Phoenix, the Arizona Capitol Tea Party will meet on Tax Day, Wednesday, April 15th – 5:30 – 7:00 pm. Information regarding events (including maps) in Bullhead City, Chloride, Cottonwood, Gilbert, Lake Havasu City, Phoenix, Prescott, Sedona, Tucson, and Yuma is available here.

With a lack of leadership, We Americans are taking matters into their own hands and airing our grievances. It will be difficult for Washington to ignore us, but since we are mainly held in contempt, they no doubt will.
