The White House has highlighted a new multi-million-dollar technology fund for Muslim nations, following a pledge made by President Obama in his unprecedented speech to the Islamic world at Cairo University last June. Obama argued that “education and innovation will be the currency of the 21st century” and that under-investment was rife in many Muslim nations.
The White House said the US Overseas Private Investment Company (OPIC) had issued a call for proposals for the fund, which will provide financing of between 25 and 150 million dollars for selected projects and funds.
The Global Technology and Innovation Fund will “catalyze and facilitate private sector investments” throughout Asia, the Middle East and Africa, the White House said in a statement. OPIC said sample projects could help foster the development of new computer technology or telecommunications businesses, or widen access to broadband Internet services.
In addition to the fund, Obama also said he will host a summit on entrepreneurship this year to deepen ties between business leaders in the United States and Muslim communities around the world.
In his speech on June 4, Obama vowed to forge a “new beginning” for Islam and America, promising to purge years of “suspicion and discord.”

Barack Hussein Obama’s connections to the Muslim world run deep. His grandfather was a high ranking official and his father and stepfather were both Muslim. I read his father later renounced religion, but this is his indisputable background. His relatives still living in Kenya are all Muslim. Barack Obama’s stepfather enrolled him in an Islamic school in Indonesia when they lived there. None of this is news.
What is stunning is that within a few short years after US commercial airliners commandeered by ALL Muslims killed nearly 3000 American on September 11, 2001, we still elected this guy.
One of his first acts after Obama’s inauguration was addressing the Muslim World on Al Jazeera’s network. This is lifted directly from their report:

We weren’t deceived. He was always clear on who he was. Even the church he attended for 20 years was a Black separatist, Afro centric group, with an American hating, anti-white preacher. Still the dummies on the left gave Obama their votes. He was the sole vote in the Illinois state senate against providing any medical care to newborns who survived a failed abortion attempt. He was a lawyer for ACORN. His Socialist views were never concealed. And still Americans, who have enjoyed the freedoms our countrymen fought and died to preserve, voted for him. Since his election, he’s authorized numerous government takeovers of industry and privately held businesses. Now he’s intent on instituting a federal takeover of our personal health care.
Was it the youth factor contrasted against the older McCain? Was it a repudiation of the presidents of our parents? Was in the idea of the first black president that showed us to have gotten past segregation (foolish, since those concepts are long gone and minorities are now moved to the front of the line, not the back.) The fact that the vast majority of blacks voted for him simply because of the color of his skin, can’t be denied. And although Obama is as white as he is black, that’s never mentioned.
So he bows to Muslim Saudi royalty and now wants to fund their technology, although they are oil rich nations that control trillions in resources and hold us hostage to the whims of their per barrel crude oil prices. What’s the surprise?
Hmmm, I guess we’d better be prepared to hear,” Thank you for the technology needed to advance our weapons programs. We have hundreds of nuclear warheads aimed at your major cities. Convert or die.”
