A “statesman” has appeared in the daily’s editorial. The newspaper is obviously in full fret-mode over what could be an impending challenge to the old Maverick.
John McCain is not now, and has never been, a “statesman.” He is a flawed and quite ordinary man, never a scholar, standing in the shadow of a powerful father and grandfather, who expected accomplishment. Fortunately for him, he was able to get an appointment to the US Naval Academy because he was the son and grandson of Admirals. He suffered abuse as a long held POW in Vietnam that left him with lifetime injuries. But he was young and good looking in those days following his release and was able to parlay his misfortune into congress and the senate.
He has misrepresented himself and sold out his constituents time and time again. Most of us are fed up with his duplicity, hence the huge 61 % disconnect with his base reported by Rasmussen Reports. He can be taken out, money or not. His arrogant (and unattainable) need to win gave us Obama. Thank McCain for THAT.
Without question, Amnesty McCain is the Republic’s annointed open borders guy. They will demonize JD Hayworth all over again if he enters the race. This time it won’t matter. The Rasmussen Reports poll spoke loud and clear on how disconnected McCain is to those within his own party. If McCain has a legitimate challenger (Hayworth), McCain will lose.
[...] But let an actual conservative Republican even talk about the issues or have a base urging him to run, as in the case with popular radio talk show host and former Congressman J. D. Hayworth, and the flames get fanned with extra vigor. [...]
There is a stench to fear. Haven’t you all noticed that the newspaper stinks?

I read the editorial, got nauseous, and lost my cookies. Too many lies for one editorial, even for that crowd.
I certainly enjoy this title: “Señor Senator Juan McCain.”
So fitting!
