This impending medical catastrophe was reported back in November — when the government takeover of medical care was initially getting an airing. Now that the harsh realities are setting in, Bloomberg News runs an in-depth report, beginning with this paragraph:
The Mayo Clinic, praised by President Barack Obama as a national model for efficient health care, will stop accepting Medicare patients as of tomorrow at one of its primary-care clinics in Arizona, saying the U.S. government pays too little.
More than 3,000 patients eligible for Medicare, the government’s largest health-insurance program, will be forced to pay cash if they want to continue seeing their doctors at a Mayo family clinic in Glendale, northwest of Phoenix, according to a Mayo spokesman.

We are not only in for the ride of our lives, we are looking a foreshortened lives after age 50, or with any medical conditions that do not warrant meeting the “standards” of Obama care. Doctor patient-relationships will be in the hands of government functionaries who will assign care (or not) based upon a guidebook.
This tells it all very clearly. If this Mayo Clinic facility is opting of of accepting Medicare patients, guess where other health care providers will go? For sure, it won’t be with the Democrat’s disasterous plan! Look for all of the Mayo providers to boogie. Obama is succeeding in remaking America to fit his Marxist ideal.
Many,MANY doctors have already said that they will stop practicing if BHOs healthcare plan becomes reality. He and the Dems are more intent on socialized medicine than a true reform that would address tort issues and costs.
Let’s work to make this their undoing in 2010.
