Obama forgives Reid’s racist insults: agenda hangs in the balance

During the 2008 presidential race, Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid brazenly described then-Sen. Barack Obama as a “light skinned African American, with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”

Now, tanking in the polls in his home state of Nevada and trembling in fear at the prospect of being dumped, Reid has decided to apologize. He new-found contriteness was prodded by the fact that The Atlantic has printed excerpts of the gossipy book, “Game Change,” scheduled for a Tuesday release. So yesterday Reid awkwardly put out this statement:

I deeply regret using such a poor choice of words. I sincerely apologize for offending any and all Americans, especially African-Americans for my improper comments. I was a proud and enthusiastic supporter of Barack Obama during the campaign and have worked as hard as I can to advance President Obama’s legislative agenda.”

Replying to his written statement with one of his own, Obama said he accepted Reid’s apology “without question because I’ve known him for years, I’ve seen the passionate leadership he’s shown on issues of social justice and I know what’s in his heart.”"As far as I am concerned, the book is closed.”

Obviously the two are loathe to face cameras and questioning on the dicey matter.

Reid, facing a tough 2010 re-election bid, desperately needs Obama’s help to keep his seat. Obama has dutifully dispatched Democrat officials on dozens of trips to prop Reid up, with Obama even raising money for the sagging campaign.

Even before his embarrassingly thoughtless remarks were exposed, a new survey released Saturday by the Las Vegas Review Journal showed Reid continuing to falter. In the poll by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research, Reid trailed former state GOP chairwoman Sue Lowden by 10 points — 50% to 40%, and Danny Tarkanian, who rates 49% to Reid’s 41%.  Reid is also lagging behind two other opponents.

The Review-Journal, which commissioned the poll called Reid’s abysmal numbers, “pretty ugly,” amid speculation he might choose to retire rather than face a stunning defeat.

More than half (52%) of Nevadans had an unfavorable opinion of Reid. A mere 33% of respondents held a favorable opinion.

They must be the ones glugging down a brewski and watching Seinfeld reruns.

So this from Fox news this morning:

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/01/10/reid-mounted-aggressive-campaign-minimize-obama-negro-comment/

We are currently experiencing a severe bout of discrimination here in sunny AZ., as well. Can we ask ALL the cops who are currently discriminating against BIKERS to please resign?…thank you…

This is the reason to finally ask this sociocrat IDIOT to step down? Cuz’ he called a spade a spade? Not because he supported the strong-armed robbery of the citizens of our country? Not because he supported an inept, LOSER for secretary of homeland insecurity? Not because he’s a smug, arrogant slavedriving whoremonger who violated his worhtless oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States?

Well I guess it’s better late than never. Now, if we can just get rid of the rest of the socio-muslim supporting, sharia law shovin’ rest of ‘em…America MIGHT be O.K….of course, these folks were elected…go figure…

Oh, & 1 more thing…Steele’s right, but he needs to NOT act like he’s standing up for America, or whatever. He’s a R.I.N.O., just like the senior senators from AZ., S.C., etc. Wanna’ convince ME you’re a true conservative? PUT TH’ DAMNED REPUBLICAN PLATFORM BACK on the blessed website, for GOD’S SAKE, WOULDJA’!!!

And now he’s apologizing, & the head muslim’s forgiving? Isn’t that sweet? I believe I’ll retire to the ceramic throne for a round of emesis…

ya gotta wonder that if Reid’s poll numbers weren’t so awful and that BO needs whatever he can get with regard to Dem numbers in the house/senate, that BO didn’t swallow this one and give his public acceptance.

The words a person chooses reflects who he is, that’s why he chooses them

Reid just revealed who he truly was and what he was hiding from the public

ALL-apologies for double-posting…butcha’ GOTTA’ see this from Drudge & the Weekly Standard:

    http://weeklystandard.com/blogs/obama-02-republican-party-itself-has-drive-out-trent-lott

The muslim hypocrite steps on himself HARD here…let’s see if the main stream media’ll cover this one!

By the way, I apparadently owe “Seeing Red” a drink…nappy’s STILL employed…Unbelieveable! What’ll you have? “Maker’s on th’ rocks, or a cold brew, or, perhaps a cool glass of “prickley-pear” lemonade from a resturant I know up here that makes it just right?

    …whoops…ouch!

  4. Steve says:

Do you think the absolution would have been forthcoming from BHO if the racist comments had been made by a Republican?
    No Way.
We know it and they know we know it.
The level of hypocrisy within the liberal camp is astonishing.

  5. Hometown Guy says:

ANYTHING is forgiven between democrats who are trying to screw over the American people and squeeze our last dime from us to support their grandiose schemes and socialist programs.

Steve is absolutely right that a Republican would be hounded out of office for such statements. Look what happened to Trent Lott for much less. These are not honorable people. They are Leftists desirous of pushing a life of government dependency on us and gutting the U.S.Constitution in the process.

  6. Tomfoolery says:

A hypocritial double standard? No kidding! That’s the name of the game for the liberals. I am thoroughly disgusted, but the exposure of their duplicity is there for all to see. And the American people are obviously getting fed up, as Democrats are loing and others will lose in upcoming contests.
