Today’s Washington Examiner carries an important commentary by Chief Political Correspondent Byron York. He describes the clarifications made to Arizona’s new unlawful entry law — which bears the title: safe neighborhoods; immigration; law enforcement (Senate Bill 1070). The bill was signed into law by Gov. Jan Brewer on April 23.
York’s piece can be read here. And check out the newly incorporated senate amendments here.
These “tweaks” seem reasonable to me. They don’t alter the bill appreciably other than to provide clarification to the screamers by showing them their concerns are unjustified.

Sorry about the “off topic”…
Doc- just saw this on FOX and it perfectly illustrates WHY we Arizonans are fed up. I’m stating this once again: peaceful demonstrations by American citizens holding pictures of Americans raped or killed by illegals (with the perps name and country of origin on the poster)would be one way to prove the point that we need the border SHUT DOWN. There would be thousands of posters including police officers and Border Patrol agents.
Sherri-I’m WITH YOU 150% on this…I just wanted to inform our fellow conservatives on our little blog what I came across, as soon as I did!
