Helen Thomas, the 89-year-old Hearst Corporation columnist and White House press correspondent is a friend of President Barack Hussein Obama. So much so, in fact, that she is the only press member to have her own assigned chair. Listen to these outrageous comments from the ancient Grande Dame of the press corps:
The late Tony Snow, former White House spokesman for President George W. Bush, responded to her with these words: “Thank you for the Hezbollah view.” Obama’s spokesman Robert Gibbs would never utter such truths.
Thomas is the American-born daughter of Lebanese immigrants. Should she be told to “go home” to Lebanon?
NewsBusters’ Tim Graham covers this outrage here.
H/T to Debbie Schlussel for Tony Snow video.
What a lovely woman….in every way!
I loved Tony Snow – he nailed Helen years ago. Tony was a man of Grace & Integrity – he’s greatly missed.
Home to Lebanon? No. Home to the Syfy Channel? Yep.
There is no comparison between the late Tony Snow, a class act in every sense, and Robert Gibbs. Helen Thomas, on the other hand, wouldn’t know class if it bit her on her considerable derriere. Her insulting remarks about Israel demand an apology. It is no surprise that she is viewed favorably by our Arab apologetic, closet Muslim prez.
What a surprsie. Not!!
Here’s more proof of the close alliance btween Obama and Helen Thomas:
A few years ago one of the local radio stations (KKNT) was running an ad, paid for by a church group, asking for donations to help “send our Jewish friends back to Israel.” It was incredibly offensive. Imagine if the advertisers solicited funds from listener to “send our black or Mexican friends back to Africa or Mexico?”
Most of the Jewish people I know have never been to Israel, so sending them “back” was an interesting premise. When I called to ask about this, I was told that it was done out of love and respect for the Jewish people and that the second coming couldn’t take place until all Jews were back in their homeland. Shortly afterward the ad was pulled. I imagine the calls must have been pouring in.
YIKES! I thought Halloween was in October!
The creepy Helen Thomas’s employer Hearst Corp. must have realized she stepped in it. Her web site now features this “apology” (of sorts):

So, I just got this off of DRUDGE:
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2010/06/05/2010-06-05_white_house_press_icon_takes_heat_after_slam_of_jews.html
The article calls “go to Helen-Wait-Thomas” the Grande Dame of the white house press corps. O.K…1st, as long as the squatters are in there, it’s “th’ white crib-YO!”
2nd-The woman looks like the Dark Lord of the Sith, Emperor Palpatine from “Star Wars-Revenge of the Sith”
3rd-It REALLY doesn’t suprize anyone here that on the DRUDGE site, there’s a picture of th’ head muslim with his arm around this creature…does it? That’s the BRAVEST thing I’ve seen him do since Jan., ’09! At least he didn’t BOW to it!
And 4th-Does anybody REALLY believe it’s sorry for what it said?
I laughed reading your comment, Doc! You’re funny as well as on target! This woman is as ugly as her words. God must have a sense of humor, too.
Check out hot babe Debbie Schlussel. It appears God favors Jews over Lebanese!

This incident reflects the historic times we live in.
Her sentiments are those of many. Glenn Beck had 2 shows on the flotilla incident of last week and implored his listeners to become involved so the younger generation won’t ask “Where were you Dad, grandad when all this was ocurring?”
Sgt. Preston-Thanks, Man! Apparadently, GOD DOES have a sense of humor! Which brings me to Steve. Ms. Schussel is Beautiful! But don’t forget Pamela Gellar of the blog, “Atlas Shrugs 2000″! She also is Intelligent, witty, & STUNNING! Helen Thomas is uglier than Homegrown SIN, inside & out!
[...] Seeing Red AZ covered this inauspicious career-ender last week. Longtime reporter and columnist Helen Thomas put a face on the biases in journalism, as seen here. [...]
