It is being reported that Federal prosecutions of illegal aliens have soared to new levels, with 4,145 cases referred to federal prosecutors this past March and April — the largest number for any two-month period since the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency was formed five years ago.
The crimes ran the gamut from illegal entry to prosecutions of illegals with felony criminal records.
Federal authorities, who are already suing Arizona to keep our illegal immigration law (SB 1070) from going into effect July 29, complain the law would cause their workload to increase.
“People already are working 10 or 12-hour days and on weekends to just meet the caseload,” said a U.S. District Court clerk for the District of New Mexico, where the percentage of cases referred by Customs and Border Patrol increased by 54 percent from February to April this year. “It’s not an eight-hour day, because you have to process them and get them in court for that detention hearing.”
Would the grousing clerk prefer that the illegals flooding the U.S. be given a pass, since he considers the workload excessive?
And the highly publicized self-deportation program? It turns out to be just another myth, as few take advantage of the program offered by ICE. Most of the illegals living here have chosen to ignore court orders to leave the country. When they do leave, it is for other states, not to return to their country of origin, most often Mexico.
The workload is too heavy? Why doesn’t Obama use some of that “stimulous” money to fund the prosecutions? Most likely, the reason is that he simply doesn’t want to! These are the grateful new Democrat voters he needs for another term. With his numbers in the toilet and even Democrat midterm candidates veering away from him, he needs the illgals ASAP. That’s why he’s reviving John McCain’s amnesty bill post haste.
Here’s a thought – why don’t we NOT hire all those new IRS agents to enforce Obamacontrol & hire more US District clerks to process all these illegals (who are costing America billions annually) & get them deported!!!!
Instead of grousing about the workload this federal clerk should be glad he and the court personnel have jobs. Many Americans don’t and a good part of the reason is the illegal workforce which undercuts the salaries of our own citizens.
Why should illegals go back to Mexico when they can go to Colorado or Pennsylvania? The Mormons in Utah are eager to bring them in as new converts. I find that particularly reprehensible. The Mormons I know tell me the Constitution and Rule of Law are paramount to them. Except, I guess, when it comes to swelling the ranks of their church membership. What a stench that emits. No different than the Catholics who also need more members. How about caring for our country?
It is apparent Obama wants to see illegal immigrants pour into Arizona like a BP leak with no cap.
The recent larger number of illegal immigrant prosecutions is meaningless; Obama’s end game includes suing Arizona to prevent a new law taking affect that would prosecute employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants. Who would have imagined 10-years ago the White House would be held hostage by a traitor that intends to drive forward at any cost, a Marxist ideology that will surely destroy America.
Process them straight over the border, crime charges in hand. Of course after we take pictures and finger prints. Pressure the Mexican Government to control their own citizens like take away the dollars we give them in the form of aid, technology, brain power and remittances. Mexico should be shouldering these costs and responsibility.
