National Review’s The Corner runs an insightful commentary on the ruling made yesterday by Judge Susan Bolton that gutted key provisions of SB 1070. Heather MacDonald’s “What Judge Bolton’s Injunction Doesn’t Say” is a must read. To whet your appetite for the entire article, we provide this cogent first paragraph:
In enjoining Arizona’s landmark immigration law, U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton maintains the Obama administration’s carefully cultivated fiction: that what concerns the White House regarding SB 1070 is its effect on legal, rather than illegal, aliens. Almost nowhere in the government’s briefs or the judge’s ruling is the arrest and detention of illegal aliens addressed. This fiction is transparent, however. The real threat posed by SB 1070 was that it would disrupt the de facto amnesty that the executive branch has accorded to the vast majority of illegal aliens. It would start to implement congressional mandates and the public will that the immigration laws be enforced. For that reason, it had to be stopped.

Conversely, the Arizona Republic displayed a five-inch high headline banner on it’s front page declaring in bold caps JUDGE BLOCKS HEART OF LAW and cheering coverage, which includes an oversized, above-the-fold photo of Hispanic celebrants singing, accompanied by numerous slanted articles, columnist’s zingers and an editorial in which they call Arizona’s new law “misguided” and citing it as the heart of an “international drama.” The newspaper heaps praise on Obama and his Justice Department’s lawsuit against our state as it derides Gov. Jan Brewer, who signed the bill into law and has vigorously defended it. Brewer declares she is prepared to move forward, vowing to “battle all the way to the Supreme Court, if necessary.”
Arizona Sens. John McCain and Jon Kyl, upon whose shoulders this debacle squarely rests following years of inaction or outright caving to demands of illegals and their supports, are now cloaked in a phony disguise of utter outrage and promises of a remedy.
Don’t believe them.
Their urgency is propelled by the fact that early ballots are being mailed today and the laissez-faire John McCain is being challenged by conservative J.D. Hayworth, an actual border security proponent.
Kyl pushed for the former Democrat-slickly-turned-Independent Judge Bolton’s appointment to the federal bench and Bill Clinton was all too happy to comply. Such actions, which define both Arizona senators are the hallmark of Washington aisle-crossing that neuter Republicans not just here at home, but across the nation.
It’s time for a change. Send the duplicitous John McCain packing. Mark your ballot for J.D. Hayworth.
The newspaper should end its charade and begin publishing in Mexico. They already have a staffed Mexico City Bureau. Do they have one in the capitol of our other neighboring country, Ottawa, Canada? I’ve never seen any indication of that.
Federal judges are given lifetime appointments. No recall or even the pesky but farcical retention elections to contend with. Democrat passing for Independent Bolton has no roadblocks to hamper her liberal slant.
Her Judgeness is just a typical liberal. The only difference is she is wearing the cloak of an advantageous party switch to disguise her true identity.
This outrage should encourage each of us to promise ourselves 3 simple things:
1. If you haven’t already done so, cancel your subscription to the daily rag.
2. Vote for JD Hayworth who is the only conservative in this senate race. It’s important for you, for us and crucial for the future of our kids.
3. Get active in the political arena. Let your voice be heard. Demand action. We can no longer sit back and think everything will eventually be alright. It won’t. We are being invaded and the powers that be in our government and the media are facilitating it. America should not become a third world nation in order to placate the leftists.
Bolton’s choices: agree to the outrageous, unlawful, anti-American demands of the hussein/holder YES-FOR-ILLEGALS regime, or have her career as a federal judge destroyed. So, she caved.

Bolton became a registered Independent to conceal her true political persuasion. She was originally registered as a Democrat. So why did Jon Kyl push her for this federal judgeship?
Why did McCain AND Kyl vote for Holder?!? On & on it goes & when th’ BOOLSHEET stops…hopefully around Aug 24th, 2010…THEN I guess we’ll know.
