Former state Senator Chuck Gray will announce his intention to run for the District 6 Congressional seat at 2:00 p.m. today at the Arizona Capital Rose Garden.
Gray, an East Valley resident and Arizona native, served eight years in the Arizona House and five in the Arizona Senate. During the last two years he was the Senate Majority Leader. During his legislative service he developed a reputation for supporting fiscal responsibility and free-market economic policies.
Prior to his tenure in the legislature, he served 10 years as a police officer for the City of Mesa.
“This nation is facing a serious crisis regarding the deficit and the economy. Families in the East Valley are struggling to keep their heads above water and the policies coming out of Washington are either not helping or making matters worse. As a member of Congress, I will champion free market ideas and policies that promote economic growth and job creation. The residents of Arizona deserve no less,” stated Gray.
Chuck Gray and his wife Connie have been married for 31 years and live in Queen Creek with their daughter and son. They have 5 children and 8 grandchildren. Arizona’s Congressional District 6 currently includes the communities of Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, and Queen Creek
His Chuck Gray Reports states: “My style has been principle based leadership respecting the opinions of other while staying true to the US and Arizona Constitutions. I have now turned my focus to National issues. It is time to take our country back. I hope you will join me in my efforts to restore our God-given freedoms. It is a fight worth having!”
Sounds like a plan.
Based on some of his votes, it’s hard for Chuck to justify himself as a defender of either the US or Arizona’s constitutions.
That said, it’s time for Jeff Flake to get a real job.

My concern is Chuck Gray’s ease in bowing out of his own state senate seat in order to pave the way for the duplicitous Rich Crandall. That gives me major concern. Crandall is a snake, and a lazy one at that. Out of 382 floor votes during the 2009 legislature’s regular session, Crandall missed a whopping 254 of them!!! He sure earned his keep. In a perfect world, he would have rightly been tossed out on his ass. Unfortunately, that doesn’t happen with the east valley Mormon voting bloc. I’m very familiar with this issue.

Chuck Gray is a decent man and served his district well. I want to know where he stands on illegal immigration. That is THE defining issue for me.
Did Chuck Gray loudly and proudly endorse Jeff Smith over Flake in 2010? If not, I won’t be voting for Gray. Too many go-along-to-get-along Congressmen now.
Jeff Smith is looking at another run for that seat. I will be supporting him, I hope he makes it official soon.
Chuck Gray is a man of integrity and incredibly shrewd (Good) judgment. He is the type of conservative that everyone wishes represented his district.

JD and Jeff Smith endorsed each other and Chuck Gray has the same pedigree. If I lived in CD6 I would just as proudly support Chuck Gray as I did Jeff Smith and I will certainly contribute to his campaign as I did Mr. Smiths in 2010. You have a winner here, a winner for the Tea Party and Arizona. Get to know him and you will love him.

I will support the candidate who is strongest on illegal immigration and who is fiscally responsible. Flake has been a major disappointment and needs to be retired from public office.
Cheers, Sherri! Once again you speak for me. Illegal immigration undergirds everything fiscal. I don’t trust Flake. Over the years, he has given me ample reason not to. We need a strong conservative to give this flake a run for his money.
