We wrote about the McCain’s appearance in Architectural Digest in December 2007 — as the duo posed in their North Central home in its glory days, prior to their move to a 7,000 sq. ft., multimillion dollar high-rise condo penthouse near the Biltmore. Here is the end of the tale, as the residence — now in the hands of a new owner — faces a foreclosure sale.
These are hard times. No one and no property is immune.
The McCain’s own so many homes, he was unable to give a definitive count of them to a reporter during the campaign. They are elitists who have no idea what the realities of life are like for the “great unwashed” out there whose votes they lower themselves to solicit — once every six years!

Cindy repeatedly claimed that Central Avenue property was her beloved childhood home. More McCain fabrication. It’s true that was the original Hensley property where their house once stood. But John and Cindy’s “renovation” included demolishing that home when they built the one they eventually lived in. They left a single wall standing to fall within the “renovation” guidelines, that gave them a significant financial break, rather than the hit they would have taken if it was a complete tear down. They know all the tricks.
Sorry to hear that the newest owner who did so much reconstruction, is now losing the property.
Property is property, even that which is price inflated due to “celebrity” status of the previous owners. McCain helped bring the market to its knees by never seeing a program to help illegals he didn’t support. Shoehorning people who had no business getting home mortgages into homes they couldn’t afford, brought the lending business to its knees.
Many of these homeowners were not citizens, but the banks made sure they qualified for loans. Ultimately the bottom fell out for them and a lot of others who didn’t deserve their fate.
