U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin holds the position of Assistant Majority Leader, but don’t confuse his high toned title with brilliance. And although he sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee and is the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on the Constitution, the liberal Illinois senator has little familiarity with the esteemed founding document.
A major promoter of the nightmarish DREAM Act, a backdoor amnesty program for youthful illegal aliens, Durbin used a group who boldly came to the committee hearing as props to push the flawed legislation. Many were introduced by name, without threat of arrest from the nation’s chief immigration law enforcement official, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, who sat in the chamber among them.
These were the startling words Sen. Durbin, the one-time Georgetown Law School graduate used to make his point:
“When I look around this room, I see America’s future. Our doctors, our teachers, our nurses, our engineers, our scientists, our soldiers, our Congressman, our Senators and maybe our President.”
It seems Durbin missed his Fundamentals of Constitutional Law classes. Article 2, Section 1, Clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution clearly states: “No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President….”
Dick Durbin is an aptly named Dimocrat. That this guy is Chairman of the Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on the Constitution is hilarious!
I’m dating myself, but in the 8th grade we had to take a test (pass it) on the AZ Constitution and US Constitution in order to graduate to high school!!! I don’t think this applies to today’s requirements – wonder what Durbin excuse is, since he is older than me?? Oh, nevermind, he’s a leftist and doesn’t believe (or read) in the Constitution or the oath he took.
I attended public school in Arizona and we also had to pass the tests in both the US Constitution and Arizona Constitution in order to graduate 8th grade. And would you believe? We had a “good manners” table in the cafeteria for a different group of students each Friday. We were served our lunches at the tablecloth topped table with flowers on the table. instead of going through the cafeteria line. We were even taught how to spoon our soup (towards the outer edge of the bowl and then sipped rather than slurped) It was quite an honor to be selected and we all dressed for the occasion.
Today’s schools have fast food outlets and don’t; teach cursive or geography. They do teach recycling, “alternative (same sex parents) families,” and global warming. The Constitution? Don’t be ridiculous! When a lawyer who chairs the committee on the Constitution is this illiterate, what hope do we have?
Actually, it appears Senator Durbin is correct. With a sitting president who has an obvious fraudulent birth certificate and Connecticut SSN, apparently Article 2, Section 1, Clause 5 of the US Constitution does not apply to minority Democrats. See the over 300 YouTube videos clearly demonstrating the pdf birth certificate fraud. Opps! We cannot talk about that.
“Tricky” Dick Durbin stated in ’04 (I believe) that his visit to Guantanamo Custody Facility (the secure-est place on Earth) & the treatment of the detainees (murderous muslim terrorists) by VOLUNTEER members of the U.S. Marine Corps reminded him of Russian Gulags & German Stalags. At that time our Senator McCain said…nuthin’. Very few Men know of TRUE Prison as does our senior Senator, yet he was mute on these traitorist comments.
Fast Forward to…now. This ?senator?…who hasn’t the foggiest notion of the U.S. Constitution or it’s tenents, not only says that these criminals could one day be running our country, he & many other ELECTED OFFICIALS allowed them into the hallowed halls of Congress. You can’t get into the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia without 6 months advance application & complete background check…but you can mix-n-mingle with the legislators of America if you’re illegally in our country.
And Arizona’s Senators said &/or did…what? Oh. I forgot. Mr. McCain’s too buzy “always helping the President politically” to bother with something as trivial as standing up for AMERICA. And Mr. Kyl’s too buzy appearing in front of cameras involving the budget fiasco…

This is what our children are up against the stupidity of the left, talk to your kids everynight find out what idiotic things the teachers are telling them.
