Calls conservative principles “amazing,” foolish” and “deceiving”
In the wake of his $30 million senate election “purchase,” John McCain found that all that money bought him no love from the DC Press Corps following his re-election. He groused to his cell phone “therapists” (ex-staffers who still take his calls as “old friends”) that no one was paying any attention to him.
So, for Arizona’s Senior Senator, one way to say “Look at me…Look at me!” was to embrace the Libyan “freedom fighters’ — even though he knew next to nothing about them, and troubling reports of their Islamofascist connections abound.
But now, the septuagenarian attention-seeker has found a sure-fire way to get back in the headlines: Bad-mouth the Tea Party!
He has done that by reading portions of this editorial from the Wall Street Journal on the Senate floor. The WSJ editorialists — McCain’s Open Borders co-conspirators — are more than happy to help their “cheap labor champion” in his latest betrayal of Conservatives.
The bottom line in this “backstabbing synergy?”
Trying to convince the House Freshmen that they should listen to “sophisticates” like McCain — and discount the wishes of the folks back home.
Read ABC News’ The Note for more on Maverick McCain who never held to a principled position on anything, and now blasts conservatives who do.
The House better resist getting “on board” with the likes of McCain just to enhance their personal glory.
REFUSING TO BALANCE THE BUDGET as the House demands and to bring the financial condition of a country in order and INSISTENCE ON RECKLESS SPENDING and EXCESSIVE BORROWING constitutes dereliction of duty on McCain’s part and on the part of all who follow suit.
McCain has engaged in treasonous action. He has betrayed the interests the United States of American and the American People.
“No punishment, in my opinion, is too great for the man who can build his greatness upon his country’s ruin.” — George Washington, to Joseph Reed, December 12, 1778.
Hey McCain supporters what do you think of Johnny now??? Sadly nothing new – McCain has always had disdain for Conservatives, because he has NEVER been one. A good note – this will empower and embolden Tea Partiers even more.
For those who touch the McCain:
Thou shall for evermore be plagued with the “McCain Stain”.
It’s unlikely the Stenchmeister will run again 4 years from now, because his geezerdom will be too far advanced.
But just to make sure he doesn’t run, pressure of some sort must be applied to him every day between now and then. These patriotic measures could include daily phone calls to his offices urging him to do the right thing and resign. Other measures would be calls to talk radio shows, bumperstickers, signs, pickets in front of his condo when he’s home, hiring people to walk the streets with sandwich boards, etc. Any other ideas?
McCain is gutting what little support he ever had in the GOP. I am quite sure that if he dares to run again a formidable candidate will emerge to defeat him in the primary.
For the record, this old hypocrite attended a tea party affair (or I guess in his eyes a Hobbit party)in Tucson during his reelection campaign. It’s hard to believe people keep falling for his schtick time and time again.
In battering the conservatives who made promises to their constituents during the election cycle they intended to keep, McCain is beating up on the very hope of the nation. But what does he care? He is an aged elitist with no concerns for the rest of us or our families. I hope each and every one of you who voted for this duplicitous piece of ****, are satisfied with what you have wrought. You were bought off with expensive ads and mailers slandering a decent man who should have easily won the election if principles and values meant anything. Far too many choose to go with the ruling establishment and sold the rest of us and our children’s children down the river.
Very Well Put, Sir. Well put, INDEED!
All this from a guy who WASN’T EVEN AT THE LAST VOTE?!?! “McCain called this “amazing,” foolish” and “deceiving” …”
Oh! And let’s not how these comments lamenting “alleged” Conservatives are coming from “th’ maverick”…who just a couple of weeks ago was commenting on National T.V. about how he “always supports the President politically…”
John McCain fits his name perfectly. Mc relates to “son of” and Cain was the one who bibically carried the cursed “mark of Cain,” for murdering his brother Abel and lying to God when asked about Abel’s whereabouts. “Am I my brother’s keeper” he innocently inquired of the all-knowing God.
Boy does the Seeing Red team have this guy pegged! It’s worth the time to watch this site daily to catch these pearls. My constant prayer is that McCain decline as the TEA Patriots ascend!
Here is John McCain reading that WSJ editorial about the Tea Party Hobbits. Can you imagine the people of Arizona actually voted for this cretin? Hope they are all proud of those votes. The old goat can’t even read as well as the average elementary school student.
This actually infuriates me!
John sure is acting (?) like an elitist snob. But what does he care. He and his family are and will be well taken care of, but we “Hobbits” in the middle class are taking the hit.
Those of us who said he’d revert back to his old ways once safely re-elected are now vindicated. Say what you want about JD, he would have been with us on this fight!
Republicans in the last election proved that there is “A sucker born every minute.” when they voted for McCain in the
primary.
Just think pretty soon we will have his twin in Jeff Flake as one of our senators. How wonderful !
I’m no defender of McCain but he has a point. The only possible way to move forward and avoid a default and a credit downgrade is a compromise. This is the ONLY way, and it isn’t going to leave the Democrats, Republicans, or Tea Party particularly happy or with everything they want. A Tea Party plan has a 0% chance of making it through the house and the Senate. To stubbornly cling to such a plan at the expense of moving forward is incredibly selfish.
Spoken like a true Republican, Zach. “Compromise” is the motto of the Stupid Party. How about the Democrats compromising for a change?
What was wrong with the initial Cut, Cap & Balance measure the House passed and sent to the Senate? Harry Reid said he didn’t like it so the Repubs dutifully and predictably wet their pants and retreated. This perpetual cowardice has gotten our side nowhere.
There will be no default, even it the Stupids were to stand firm, which they won’t.
And even if we did default, think about who the losers would be: the Chinese, the Arabs, international bankers, Goldman-Sachs, JPMorgan and maybe even McCain’s portfolio. Mr. Average Citizen would scarcely notice.
The doomsday predictions over a default are just like the doomsday predictions of Y2K: nothing happened.
JD was and is the Consistant Conservative, he always had our backs, unlike the ###### who got elected after spending 21 million. And “YES” I do feel vindicated. McCain will never get elected to anything again, as much as I like Sarah Palin I want her reaction to what that old nasty b#####d had to say about the Tea Party who has always supported her.
McCain’s disdain for the people of Arizona — especially conservative Republicans, is limitless. We warned all of you who supported this arrogant little man. I believe this site even posted a list of all of our Republican state legislators and mayors who endorsed this creep. Votes should have been withheld from THEM, too. This was a treasonous action when we had a solid conservative running against him.
McCan-do-O’s-agenda will love this.
“Jeff Lichter: On Monday and Tuesday evenings, July 25th and 26th, the South Peoria Tea Party by a vote of 8-0 and then the Sun City West Tea Party by a vote of 56 – 5 voted to pass the motion below. One week ago, the Surprise Arizona Tea Party passed the same motion by 45 – 4. All of these votes occurred in districts served by Congressman Trent Franks and he is being informed of the results.
This same motion is forecast to spread to other Tea Party groups around the nation.”

To the so-call republicans who voted in the primary to keep AMNESTY-JOHN in office: hang your heads in shame – you are despicable beyond words.
exactly. It’s almost laughable to hear people like Steve C and so many others suddenly seeing the light about McCain. Yet, they were so pro McCain in 2010. Many of us were ahead of the curve. I guess, better late than never. Too bad we have to wait another 5 years before this baffoon can be unelected. Unfortunately, McCain knows he HAS 5 years and that the electorate tend to have short term memories.
Just to keep McCain’s swinish history alive, it’s good from time to time to review the sewage that constitutes much of his record.
1) Remember the Swift Boat vets who saved our nation from a Kerry presidency? Remember how McCain attacked them, calling them “dishonest” and “dishonorable”?
2) Remember how he leaked information to the Washington Post about the secret prisons where the CIA was holding terrorists? He never was held accountable for that treasonous act.
3) War Hero/Ace McCain was not quite what his hagiographers have written. His reckless flying caused him to crash 5 aircraft, at great cost to the taxpayers. And regarding Dr. Jack Wheeler’s much-maligned account of McCain’s sojourn in Hanoi, could it be that there is at least some truth to the old saw that where is smoke, there is fire? I personally do not know, but don’t forget, he has steadfastly refused to release the records of his official debriefing after he returned home. What do you suppose he has to hide?
…And to think you could’ve voted for JD Hayworth!
Has AZ ever considered a closed primary?
We had closed primaries, WThomas. Thank Grant Woods and his colluders, then Gov. Jane Hull, former Sec. of State Betsey Bayless, and former US Rep. John Shadegg who caved on this mega issue.
Open primaries are also open to manipulation. Partisans reregister in order to vote in the weakest opposing candidate.
Bottom line question:Would you have wanted to allow a rival high school to pick your homecoming queen?
What’s good for Wisconsin should be good for AZ? Recall McCain!
why does “compromise” always mean Republicans caving?
obama hasn’t “compromised” on the destruction he’s already wrought. why vote for more? the stimulus was supposed to STOP the sky from falling. it stimulated all right, right into his friends pockets.
WThomas:
There was a concerted recall effort against McCain that was going quite well…until the events of September 11, 2001 placed our efforts and attention elsewhere. I personally collected nearly three full pages of signatures without ever leaving my home. We were having work done on our house and each and every workman I spoke with — along with the mailman and two delivery men, were eager to sign the petition to recall the old buzzard.
If we are Hobbits, McCain is Sméagol, so they say at Tea Party Tribune. “Evil can always be counted on to step too far, waver, shriek and fall.” Good read. http://ow.ly/5Q1Lg. Thanks again SA!!
