They’ve done it again. The pro-open-borders, pro-amnesty daily newspaper has disallowed comments following this report on Cristino Torres-Romero, 33. The Periódico de la República de Arizona (Arizona Republic) most likely doesn’t want to provide a forum to those it would prefer to relegate to heartless, hate-monger status.
Dead at the scene of the senseless hit-and-run in Scottsdale was Daniel Pollack, a 31-year-old real estate broker who earned two degrees from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business — one in real estate and one in small business management. He was pursuing a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at the time of his death and was active on many levels in the Valley community. Torres-Romero, in the U.S. illegally, was using stolen identity to facilitate his job at the California Pizza Kitchen restaurant in Tempe. After being picked up following an anonymous tip, Torres-Romero reportedly admitted to detectives that he left the scene after striking Pollack on the night of September 11.
I’m sure the Mexican Consulate and Philberto have already made their pilgrimage to the alter of “illegal immigrants”.
At least he fessed up, but thanks CALIFORNIA KITCHEN!!!!
Arizona chain restaurants are real gems.
When illegal aliens get behind the wheel…
I hold California Pizza Kitchen responsible as well. The hiring practices they use clearly allowed this slug to be in their employ using stolen documents. Did he look like the photo on the ID? Did they use E-Verify? Did they care? I’ve eaten my last meal in that complicit dive.
What a difference in the life choices these two men made in their short life spans. May God bless the soul of Daniel Pollack and heal the hearts of his family and friends as they try to move forward from this profound loss. As for Cristino Torres-Romero, a sneak, thief and now murderer, he will have the rest of his life to think about the effects of his selfish actions that resulted in such agony for so many. It’s no surprise the Arizona Republic disallowed comments on this report. Those at the newspaper know that the comments would fly in the face of their constant pleas for compassion for these lawless invaders.
Thanks, SRAZ, for the FULL story….the rag has company. I’ve watched this story reported on several local TV stations and not one has reported that he was illegal. What a shock!
Helen,
Now that they have mentioned it once, they have dropped it like a “hot potato”.
Future Torres-Romeros being tracked then apprehended thanks to trail cameras placed by Arizona Border Defenders:
Ron Paul: “Don’t build a border fence as it will keep Americans in.” LOL
Incredible that there is nothing about this in today’s Arizona Republic.
Makes you wonder whose side they are on. When one of their own was murdered (Don Bolles) the coverage went on for months, even years, so why are they trying to sweep this one under the carpet? Justice needs to be seen to be done
