US Rep. Trent Franks boldly endorses Wil Cardon for Senate

Read Congressman Frank’s solid endorsement of U.S. Senate candidate Wil Cardon HERE. Throughout his letter Congressman Franks emphasizes Cardon’s conservatism.

With these emphatic words Franks makes it clear that Wil Cardon is the right candidate to support in this important race:  “Arizona needs a conservative voice in Washington that will unrelentingly stand up for our safety, our security, and the rule of law. That voice is my good friend Wil Cardon.”

Trent Franks and Jeff Flake have served together in the Arizona Congressional delegation since Franks was elected in 2003. Laissez-faire Libertarian Flake, who reneged on his three-term limits pledge, glibly excused his self-imposed vow by saying “I lied.” He has now been in the House for six terms. His policy shifts are both deplorable and bafflingly disappointing. Flake is currently running for the U.S. Senate hoping to succeed retiring Jon Kyl.

Accomplishing the nearly impossible, Flake has toppled from grace in the eyes of such diverse longtime supporters as the conservative Family Research Council and the liberal Arizona Republic. The obvious conclusion to draw from Trent  Frank’s endorsement is that those who know Jeff Flake best are more likely to support an actual conservative.

Wil Cardon has principles. Jeff Flake has perfected a McCain-like facade to accompany his insatiable ego.

THIS is Wil Cardon. Give what you can to help put a conservative in the U.S. Senate.  It matters.  Now more than ever.

This is indeed a bold move, but Franks has stepped out of the expected mold previously. He supported conservative California Congressman Duncan Hunter, Sr. when Hunter ran for President in the GOP primary against John McAmnesty. That was HUGE. That’s when I first took notice that Trent Franks could be the man to watch. I was hoping he would run for this senate seat.

I’ve got a Wil Cardon sign in my yard and it’s given me the great opportunity to talk to my neighbors about him. If continuing the appalling status Mcquo and McKyl with McFlake doesn’t appeal to you, I suggest you do the same thing.

  3. CD9 says:

I was very upset he did not run for Senate himself. I wanted him to badly, we need to rid our state of Jeff McAmnesty Flake. I am more than happy now he is endorsing Wil.

Franks and Salmon were both seriously considering the senate race. They were both dissuaded by McCain surrogates who told them how the cow ate the cabbage. Neither one wanted to rock the boat and both stepped away. Never think for a minute that John McNasty doesn’t have long and vicious tentacles. People rarely cross him because his team of Opposition Researchers could find dirt on Mother Theresa. McCain is a dirt bag.

  4. Realist says:

Wonder how much money McShame is “funneling” into the Flake campaign. Suppose we could ask McKyl or Wes ‘the loser” McGullett. Either way, you can bet it’s a bundle…

  5. East Valley PC says:

McCain anoints and the world is supposed to stop spinning. Good for Trent Franks for attempting to put it back on its axis. I appreciate his effort on behalf of Wil Cardon.

Thanks Trent. Glad to see one Arizona congressman has a clear head on his shoulders. Lest anyone forget, Flake is “Mr. Amnesty.” He just wants voters to ignore his pro-illegal past this election. Check out: http://armorandshield.blogspot.com/2012/06/jeff-flake-fool-me-once-shame-on-you.html

I’m all in for Cardon, this guy is young and a proven leader in Arizona and not afraid of politic’s as usual. He is backed by the Pachyderm and the T.E.A. Party Patriots as was Palmer who went against the grain and won by 3 votes and is working with Latin Republicans to help True Conservatives win in November. Franks nails this endorsement! We need more of the next generation to step out and step up. Cardon will win and make a positive difference in D.C..

It’s great to see Congressman Franks step up and do the right thing for Arizona. Like the rest of us, he is well aware of Flake’s betrayal of our confidence. Jeff Flake’s word means nothing. He said he wasn’t a career politician and that he would only serve for 3 terms and now I believe he is on his 5th term. He claims to be a conservative and a supporter of the ” rule of law” yet, he supports legislation that rewards law breakers with citizenship. He misses important votes on issues like “Cap and Trade” and then laughs it off when his constituency calls him on the carpet for it. This guy represents everything that is wrong with Washington and we need someone in office who understands what it means to make a payroll and generate a profit. I’ve met Will Cardon and I’m willing to give him an opportunity to carry the conservative banner. I hope you will too! It’s time for Flake to retire and prove he can do something of value in the private sector.

I dropped Fake(Flake) on his facebook over two years ago.
First for not showing up for the cap and trade bill.He had to go to his daughter’s beauty contest. Thank god it was voted down by three votes but that how important it was. The pay off was when he and the Progressive Democrats sanctioned JOE WILSON that was it for me.

Then last week Rep Gutierrez of Ill says he and Jeff Flake wrote the Dream act together.
I don’t know anything about Wil Cardon the only reason I feel he is a ok guy is that Club for Growth(Karl Rove) has been running really negative ads against him. I figured he must be backed by the tea party.
So if anyone could give me an update…
