The 1st Annual Brian Terry Foundation Benefit Dinner will be held September 17th, 2012. It’s a formal event requiring “cocktail attire” at a posh resort in Tucson. The Foundation was launched by Terry’s parents, as they await answers to the facts surrounding the death of their son.
Many notables are on the “honorary” host committee and serving as event co-chairs. The Master of Ceremonies is William La Jeunesse, a one time local AZ investigative reporter, now with Fox News. There will be an award presentation and special guest: Michael J. Fisher, U.S. Border Patrol Chief. At first blush it looks like an evening to calendar, since we all want to honor the life of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry — killed in the Arizona desert by Mexican drug cartel gangsters, carrying AK-47s provided to them by the Obama Justice Department through Operation Fast and Furious
A closer look raises too many questions to process. Serving as “honorary hosts” are AZ Senators John McCain and Jon Kyl. How interesting that they are now positioning themselves on the right side of this issue as they do their best to re-write the history of the tragedy that needlessly took Brian Terry’s life.
Both McCain and Kyl voted in support of the confirmation of Eric Holder, Obama’s hand-picked selectee for U.S. Attorney General. The corrupt Eric Holder has blood on his hands in the wretched Fast and Furious gun running scandal and obstructive cover-up.
The McCain/Kyl duo also inexplicably supported the nomination of radical liberal Janet Napolitano for Secretary of Homeland Security. It’s not that they were unfamiliar with her leftist eccentricities and closeness to Barack Obama, since she had been a calamitous Arizona governor. Napolitano’s reckless laxity in regard to enforcement is legendary. Although she is loathe to address the criminality on our southern border, she issued a report warning of returning military vets as “right wing extremist” national security threats. Both she and Holder bear responsibility for the events that led to countless deaths on the Arizona border.
The litany of strange bedfellows continues. Democrat U. S. Reps. Raul Grijalva and Ed Pastor are vocal open border proponents. Their new Dem seatmate U.S. Rep. Ron Barber, is the honorary chairman, who can use this opportunity to show concern on border issues he cares not a whit about. He co-chairs with Republican U.S. Rep Darrell Issa, whose House Oversight and Government Reform Committee voted to hold AG Holder in contempt of Congress for failing to turn over tens of thousands of pages of documents subpoenaed in the Fast and Furious investigation.
And McCain and Kyl? The “Honorary Hosts” have never been held accountable for any policy decisions that put these colluders in place and set the disastrous events in motion.
Their rhetoric only toughens as campaigns are on the horizon. Otherwise, it’s business as usual, with the usual suspects.

Typical McCain and Kyl. They are working fast and furiously to dsitance themselves from…..themselves!
I am torn between elation for the honor of Brian Terry and his family, and filling my shoes with vomit. How DARE Kyl, McCain, Flake, Grijalva, and Pastor attend this event? If I were Brian Terry’s parents, I would insist that these vermin be scratched and BANNED from a hundred mile radius of the tribute. My God this is sickening.
This is the lowlife who McCain and Kyl BOTH voted in support of his nomnation.
…A NEW LOW…
…nuff sed…
Grijalva? Pastor? Are you kidding? They are not even hiding behind the GOP clothing as McCain and Kyl do. They support this administration!!!
If hypocrite twins McCain and Kyl are your brand of politician, you’ll positively swoon over Jeff Flake. The only problem with him is he is also a narcissistic, amnesty promoting libertarian, who will be around a whole lot longer than the long in the tooth current senators. (Thank God we’re finally getting rid of RINO Kyl!)
There’s a good chance Republicans will lose that seat in November, since the high dollar Democrat push will be on for Carmona, who was recruited by Obama. But lets not forget where he initially got his name recognition. Dopey George W. Bush, was the one who appointed Richard Carmona US Surgeon General. Carmona was a registered Independent back then. Obama persuaded him to become a Democrat and he jumped at the chance to be a US Senator.
It’s a certainly there were Hispanic Republican Medical Doctors around this great country that Dubya could have appointed. Now Carmona is coming back as the liberal he already was to bite us all in the ass. Thanks Dubya.
Thanks so much for a reliable display of fact and a reasoned reaction to it. This is why I keep coming back to Seeing Red AZ.
I would never have seen this invitation, since I’m no doubt on the “D” list to these high fliers. But my vote still counts, and they lie to me to try to get it.
Kyl is no longer an issue, but I I’m proud to say I haven’t voted for McCain for Senate in the last two elections. I have to admit, I did vote for him over Obama, but it nauseated me to do so. Flake will get the same no-vote treatment from me. I’m a conservative, and I’ve had enough. Fortunately Kirk Adams and Ben Quayle ate well deserved dirt on Tuesday night. They were both endorsed by the johns — McKyl.
please reconsider when you say that “Kyl is no longer an issue”. He will continue to be a force within the Repub party forever. I am sure that Obama will reward him with some nice job, probably as a judge. Or maybe he will work behind the scenes where he can do damage, and sign his name as “anonymous”.
Glad to read that Gabby Mercer is not attending…Support a real Conservative with her fundraiser in Tucson Wednesday, Sept 12th 5 pm. http://saucedomercer.com/
Gabriela Saucedo-Mercer will defeat Grijalva
You got that right!
I do hope you’re right about the fine candidate Gabriela Saucedo Mercer. It’s past time the old commie Grijalva was shown the door. He nearly lost last election after calling for a boycott of Arizona.
This invitation is stomach turning. I have no doubt some of the good Republicans on the host committee sincerely want to honor the memory of Brian Terry. I also have no doubt that others including Kyl and McCain are trying to distance themselves from the fact that it was their actions or lack of them, that increased the danger and set off the chain of events that led to Agent Terry’s death. They shouldn’t be allowed to set foot in the hotel lobby. I was shocked when I read they both voted to confirm liberal Obama cronies Eric Holder and Janet Napolitano.
I hold the two-face and hypocritical McCain and Kyl below contempt for trying to conceal their responsibility in this senseless murder of a young border agent by putting their names on this invitation. Chances are they have no intention of showing up. Their self serving actions show them for the colossal phonies they are. Arizonans need to smarten up and stop electing such lowlifes. Jeff Flake is the next in line to assume the fakery mantel. He’s their endorsed clone.
I am voting for Carmona, I joined the Republican party in 76 and have never voted Democrat since. But to not vote is still giving McFlake a vote, I am fed up with the Trio of Liars.
Ditto.
I hope that SRA or someone who posts here will attend this event and give us the real scoop on this. Just doesn’t sound right.
It “just doesn’t sound right” because it isn’t! This is the height of arrogance exhibited by congressional frauds who put Fast and Furious in motion by virtue of bestowing their blessings on Obama’s far left appointees.
