GE CEO Jeff Immelt, is the czar heading Obama’s Council on Jobs & Competitiveness. He’s a great choice for the post, having sent a boatload of American jobs to China — jobs for which General Electric is paying little in taxes.
During an interview with Charlie Rose, the two were in agreement that “state run communism” works.
“Really, the one thing that actually works, you know, state run communism — may not be your cup of tea but their government works,” declared Immelt.
While slathering compliments, Immelt seems to have forgotten a few historical facts, such as China’s corruption, currency manipulation, forced abortions and other ongoing human rights violations. The 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre would be a good starting point.
Immelt and his wife purchased a multimillion dollar convenience condo in Manhattan, in addition to their other homes. Communism has been berry berry good to him.

Jack Welch must be crying in his cornflakes knowing that GE is run by this guy. Communist China pulled millions out of poverty by making capitalistic reforms in the 1970s. Only then did their GDP take off. So China embraces capitalism and improves conditions for the poor, and everyone. WE, the USA, embrace socialism and….well, you’ll see. Our President does not believe in capitalism and neither do 53 percent of our voters, to include the CEO of one of our largest companies!
Tell that to the chinese peasants who the govt does not want to move into the cities. The peasants who are dying daily from starvation. Tell that to all the re-education camp (prisons) where hundreds of thousands are sent and die there. Immelt is an elitist fool.

You actually raise a very cogent and telling point, David. Not one of the Pinkos pushing the Commie agenda here in the U. S. has chosen to live in a Communist country. In addition, many of them are extremely wealthy. New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg, for example, is worth $25 billion.
So, what does that tell us about their real motives for pushing a leftist agenda? An interesting question, isn’t it?
I quit buying GE products 3 years ago when I saw how Immelt was Obama’s buddy.
