Barack Obama’s push to limit firearms and ammo is meeting with strong resistance in Arizona. Three county sheriffs are joining a growing list of sheriffs across the nation who refuse to enforce any laws they believe to be unconstitutional.
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu and Yavapai County Sheriff Scott Mascher stand with an ever growing number of sheriffs nationwide — now said to be over 100 – who place the Second Amendment above Barack Obama’s “executive order” power grab.
Sheriff Paul Babeu has sent this letter to Obama stating that he will not obey unconstitutional executive orders banning firearms.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio said, “I took 10 oaths of office, and they all say I will defend the Constitution of the United States and the laws of my state, Arizona. I take that very seriously,“ adding. “I may not enforce the federal law.”
Stay tuned. This unified law enforcement show of support for the Second Amendment is just beginning.
Kudos to the Arizona sheriffs for asserting themselves in the wake of Obama’s unconstitutional gun-grab proposals. They are following the lead of former sheriff Richard Mack of Graham County, who managed to beat the Brady bill several years ago. He is a leading force in motivating sheriffs around the country to assert themselves as the most powerful law-enforcement official in each state.
Last night in Phoenix, Mack gave an impassioned speech at the John Birch Society Executive Dinner saying the best way to protect our rights is to demand that the Tenth Amendment and the principle of state sovereignty be respected. It is no surprise that Sheriff Arpaio for one is ready to tell the Feds to bug off.

Euby, this is encouraging news. And with proper education that two-thirds would expand nicely.
However, it should be noted that if we ever got to the point that “they” started collecting guns, you’d have to admit that we would have already lost the battle for freedom. It would be all over by then. That’s why we need to be, and I detest this little word, “pro-active” now while we have the chance. We need to stand up to the over-reaching federal behemoth now before it is too late.

I find myself concerned the Sheriff Joe says he “May” not enforce “federal law”. This is not a concrete response from America’s Toughest Sheriff…who used to BE a fed. @ the YAVGOP P.C. meeting earlier this month, I spoke to a Yavapai Co. Sheriff’s Deputy who told me to my face that Sheriff Masher held a County Wide meeting to inform his Deputies that they WILL NOT BE PARTICIPATING in ANY UNCONSTUTIONAL federal activities. THIS, Ladies & Gents…is a concrete response. And I don’t even LIKE th’ guy…
This L.E.O. response started with a Sheriff from Linn County, OR., who sent vice president joe (currently dubbed, “Sheriff Joe” by th’ lamestream media, which I’m sure is goin’ over reeeaaaallllyyy well over there @ M.C.S.O.’s Offices) biden a letter from his office informing him of HIS position on the current regieme’s UnConstitutional Gun Legislation.

So recently, I spoke to a Very Conservative friend of mine who’s a professor @ Yavapai College about his thoughts on this loonacy. He had a VERY SCARY hypothesis. He said that Local & probably State level Law Enforcement, should the government’s “end-run” be true & confiscation begins, would probably be QUARANTEENED by the feds, & U.N. Peacekeepers would be utilized. These Sheriff’s responses are EXACTLY WHY this would be the case. The federal government is currently being operated by Criminals. Nobody said they were STUPID criminals. How stupid are they?They’re currently running the show…
So, MY hypothesis goes like this: obama, reid, feinstein, boehner (yep BOEHNER…who is a spineless coward, & has PROVEN IT NUMEROUS TIMES), and Company can pass all the gun laws they want. When it comes to these laws, THEY ARE & WILL BE, UnConstitutional. Therefore if we FOLLOW these laws, that makes US THEIR sheeple….who SUBMITTED to their Criminal acts.

Good to see these sheriff’s standing tall and defying federalism.
In the end states rights must be protected and prevail. The charge to succession may very well be underway with the sheer number of federal mandates that attempt to deprive the states of their liberty.
I’m so very thankful to be an Arizonan and have the sheriffs that we have (minus Dupnik) but in the end, it will all come down to us. ‘We the People’ have go to be as truly determined to keep and protect our rights and remain free as our forefathers were. They were people of action and sacrifice we must be too.
I totally agree with you Brandy, and do so wish that Mark Napier was our Pima Co. Sheriff now. We do need to be a party of action, and not let this President deny us our rights.
