An urgent message from Sheriff Joe Arpaio & Update

Seeing Red AZ urges support of our sheriff, Joe Arpaio

Fellow Patriot,

Just three weeks after I was sworn into office for a sixth term as Maricopa County Sheriff, a group of radical extremists filed a recall campaign to forcibly remove me from office.

This is very serious. These left-wing groups of agitators are the same ones who spent millions against me in last year’s campaign in an effort to defeat me. Because they didn’t like the outcome of that election they are now going to spend millions of dollars to force a recall election this coming fall.

So far they have raised over $1.3 million to defeat me!

These sore losers just never stop. They figure if they can force an election in an off-year they’ll be able to turn out every pro-illegal immigrant voter and steal this election. We saw them do the very same thing to an Arizona State Senator just over a year ago.

It’s clear that these people will go to any lengths to see me defeated and out of office. They’ll resurrect all the lies, distortions and personal attacks from last year’s campaign and use them against me this year.

And what is this all about really? Why do they hate me so much? It’s simple: I am the only law enforcement official in this state that enforces our laws against illegal immigration. Period. Everything else they’ll talk about is a deceptive smokescreen because they know they cannot win on the issue of enforcing the law.

In fact, in their statement about the recall this group claims that I don’t “respect, defend or protect the rights guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution!” This, coming from the same group of people who have waged a relentless campaign against me in an effort to stop enforcing the laws! I have sworn an oath to protect and defend our United States Constitution probably more times than these clowns have pledged allegiance to our flag.

You were such an important part of my victory last year even though we faced insurmountable odds. I certainly did not plan on this recall, but I have to ask you again for your support. The fight starts now. Over the next several months I am going to be bombarded with negative attacks and lies. I must have the necessary resources to defend my record and run a winning campaign.

But I don’t care what threats they make. I will never back down one inch when it comes to doing the job I was JUST elected to do. I will continue enforcing all the laws on the books no matter what the consequences.

I am going to need your help now more than ever before. This campaign starts NOW. CLICK HERE TO DONATE.

Trust me; I never dreamed I would have to come to you for a contribution again. But it’s clear that I must ask you for your support and your prayers if we are going to beat our opponents.
Thank you for everything you have done and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Very Sincerely Yours,
Sheriff Joe Arpaio
Maricopa County, Arizona

Paid for by Elect Sheriff Joe Arpaio

Update-tag

Using the absurd moniker “Respect Arizona,” the recall group filed with Robert Unferth listed as its only officer.

It’s obvious these malcontents hold no respect for the vote of the nearly 680,000 Maricopa County citizens, who recently returned Joe Arpaio to his post to begin serving an unprecedented sixth four-year term. In fact, they hold Arizona voters in contempt.

These people have previously registered as non-resident petition circulators. Since their addresses are redacted, the states where they actually reside are unavailable.

  1. Seen It All says:

Randy Parraz and his goons will need to collect 350,000 signatures in the next 120 days in order to force a recall election. Checking to verify the signatures, of the circulators and signers will be a monumental job. The state of Arizona and Maricopa County will witness fraud as never before.

    • eubykdisop says:

In 2007 they couldn’t get the 200,000 signatures then required to mount a recall of Arpaio. In the most recent election, Arpaio beat his closest competitor by 7.5% of the vote.

      • Fabian Walker says:

Irrelevant. It was his closest election ever. Joe got only 50.7%, and could well have lost were it not for a third party candidate (Stauffer). there is more cash flowing into the amnesty/anti-Arpaio movement than ever before – almost all from the big unions UNITE, SEIU and AFL-CIO. they will easily get the 350,000 signatures.

  2. MacBeth says:

Filing now is smarter than waiting for the heat to kick in. These people are commited to defeating anyone who cares about enforcing the law, but they are lazy. The summer heat wouldn’t be their cup of tea(quilla).

  3. Richard Norton says:

    Mr. Joe,

YOU have my support 100% and should I move there, you have my vote.

  4. theprecinctproject says:

Conservative Republican Party precinct committeemen and those who will want to actually help Sheriff Joe’s campaign if he is forced to run in a recall election, this is why the Arizona Republican Party needs a real, 21st century GOTV internet-based software tool so that volunteers from all around the state can make coordinated, non-duplicative GOTV phone calls on behalf of Sheriff Joe.

I believe the best such software is rVotes. Check it out at http://www.rVotes.com.

Will our new AZ GOP Chairman lead a fundraising drive to obtain it for the PCs?

    Thank you.

    • Louise Ann says:

Is there an organized group – for which one can volunteer – that is actually working on Arpaio’s behalf?

      • Sally Forth says:

Best advice? I would suggest contacting Chad Willems at Summit Consulting. He has managed Sheriff Arpaio’s campaigns.

Please let the rest of us know what you hear about an organized group supporting our sheriff.

      • theprecinctproject says:

        Louise Ann,
Yes, there is an organized group – for which one can volunteer – that will actually work on Arpaio’s behalf in a way that matters: The AZ GOP, the Maricopa County Republican Committee and the committee of your legislative district. The members are called precinct committeemen. Are you you one? You can volunteer to become one.

Here’s what some of us did in the last election cycle in LD 18, where some of our precincts had over 88% turnout of registered Republicans:

        http://www.redstate.com/coldwarrior/2012/08/19/rnc-provides-you-a-gotv-tool-for-getting-conservative-vinos-to-the-polls-will-you-use-it/

Here’s some more info about the Party:

        http://www.redstate.com/ColdWarrior/2013/01/14/whats-the-republican-conservative-officer-count-on-your-county-committee-did-you-have-a-vote/

Chad Willems was in charge of Sen. Russell Pearce’s recall campaign. It was a shambles. At least the parts I saw. Russell would still be in office, I believe, if he had focused on a better ground at the precinct level using the system we used to get the “VINOs” to the polls.

        I hope this helps.

        Thank you.

      • East Valley Conservative says:

Sally Forth is right on with her advice. Chad Willems was not the problem Russell Pearce encountered. Willems is a professional who cut his conservative teeth working for Congressman J.D. Hayworth. Pearce was sabotaged by his own well meaning friends who recruited Olivia Cortes to pose as a sham LD18 candidate. She finally withdrew when the walls were closing in on her and she couldn’t explain what her “candidacy” was all about.

Then there was this foolishness made worse by a sarcastic news team:

Another campaign misfortune beyond Pearce’s control was the Arizona Teacher’s Association, the nonexistent educators’ group with the misspelled signs (“Eduction” and a misplaced apostrophe). His friends intended to support Russell Pearce, but instead embarrassed him. Again, he was hurt those who thought they were helping.

We need to leave the really important jobs to the pros. Chad Willems is that man. Joe’s many friends can help him most by donating $$ to this offensive recall of a patriotic American. Joe Arpaio has served his country in the military, as a police officer, working overseas as a federal DEA agent, and finally heading up the AZ federal office before being elected sheriff. He’s devoted his life to keeping us safe. He deserves our help now. But do it by opening your billfolds, not your emotions.

    • William says:

So far our new Chairman has been silent.

      Sad

      • Disappointed says:

The word is, he’s out of the country for a week. He left the day after he was elected. He’s rumored to be in China. It would be nice if he was in the office bright and early the first week after he was elected, overseeing appointments of staff and getting the lay of the land. This is a big job that requires showing up! I hope this isn’t an indication of his leadership style. It leaves a lot to be desired.

  5. Rob Haney says:

Sheriff, you, Russell Pearce and Andrew Thomas are the three elected, high profile Constitutional Republicans who have fought for us over the last ten years. It is clear that you all were targeted because you enforced our immigration laws.

The proponents of selective law enforcement succeeded in punishing Pearce and Thomas for enforcing immigration law and now they have targeted you. We can be assured that the communication efforts of the Main-Stream-Media and the Republican and Democrat establishment forces will work for your demise.

Can you imagine Flake and McCain, who have once again reversed course and are now working feverishly for Amnesty, coming out to defend you? I would like to see that pirouette move even though it would come from two of the best pirouetters in the business. The hypocrisy would be something for even the illegal immigrant advocates to marvel about.

Thank you, Sheriff, for all you have done for the county and country. It is our turn now to pay you back for all you have done to protect us. A donation from Marne and me is on the way. God bless Ava and you.

    • Villanova says:

Including Andrew Thomas in this trio is inaccurate.
      He was not recalled.
He was not the target of a recall.
He quit his office before his term was finished.

In fact he announced his intent to run for Attorney General within short order of winning his second term.

Thomas was disbarred after an extended public hearing in which he was able to mount his own defense.

The hearing did not involve his activities in prosecuting illegal aliens. His problems were due solely to his unethical practices and abuse of his vast prosecutorial powers in targeting political enemies.

      • Rob Haney says:

Thomas was attacked by the legal establishment through the State Bar of Arizona, an acknowledged far left organization, and the Republican establishment of the Board of Supervisors among other pro-illegal immigrant proponents. I was accurate to include him in the trio. I did not say that he was recalled, but rather attacked for his anti-illegal immigrant stance. It is commonly acknowledged that Thomas did not receive a fair hearing from a judge who should have recused himself.

    • CD9 says:

We had a super majority, and the Republican’s in all their glory were too #$%^&* to change the law that allowed Democrats to vote in a recall primary of Republican’s. Now to defend ourselves we must start recalling them. Fights On.

      • Doc says:

        “Where’re EWE goin’?”, said Bemish…
“Ta’ pick a Fight!”, said William…and so he did…
        ?what movie?

      • Braveheart says:

Doc: I believe it was ‘Hamish” (not Bemish) conversing with William Wallace in Braveheart. It is a great line!

      • Doc says:

Well you’re probably right on “Hamish”…I’m ’bout half-deaf…But ya’ got th’ Movie right! Whatta’ GREAT line!

      • Paul Yoder says:

Andrew Thomas was brought down by barrels of ink and a relentless campaign of character assassination. The hyper-hypocritical editorial staff at Gannet even published a recent editorial saying that since the left has worn out the Nazi/Hitler thing, it’s repulsive that some republicans are trying to use it now. Exactly this disgusting (and tired) slur was extolled and supported by the paper against Thomas and thanks to their diligence, he, Russell Pearce and anyone else foolhardy enough to speak out against illegal immigration are the victims.
After grugingly reporting the antics of Mary Rose Wilcox, the Republic is now diligently working on her rehabilitation. No such efforts are in store for Pearce or Thomas.Their political careers are over.
When the kooks at the Arizona Republic turn in their pens, it will be time to talk about honest citizens turning in their guns. Freedom of the press and to bear arms are both equally protected by the US constitution. No matter how irresponsibly they are used.
The NRA, by the way, does an excellent job of promoting gun safety. No such organization exists to encourage responsible journalism. Andrew Thomas is a perfect example of “the pen being mightier than the sword”.
        .

    • Villanova says:

Commonly acknowledged? By who? Not by the overwhelming number of people who daily viewed the disbarment trial.

Are you aware that every lawyer in the state of Arizona is member of the State Bar? That means that Thomas, a conservative Republican, was part of this unsavory group of the “far-left” before his disbarment. The officers of the State Bar of Arizona are elected by a vote of the members, both conservative and liberal, Republicans and Democrats. We even have a few Libertarians and “others” thrown in.

    • East Valley Conservative says:

      Paul Yoder,
Andrew Thomas got exactly what he deserved. He abused the power of his office and let his inflated ego get in the way of good judgment. I voted for him three times. Wouldn’t do so again under any circumstances.

Russell Pearce, on the other hand, was victimized by the liberal open border establishment, the media, and worse, by his own church, which covertly recruited and supported his opponents, Jerry Lewis and Bob Worsley. This I know for a fact.

  6. Kent says:

They feel emboldened after taking out Senate President Russell Pearce. But that was one single legislative district. Even at that, there were a lot of disreputable actions coming from the dark side.
Going country-wide will be a much bigger deal. Seen It All is right. Those organizing this outrageous recall are goons!!

    • Hagar says:

Never underestimate the naivete of useful idiots like Jerry Lewis and Bob Worsley and the Mormon sheep who fell for their lies.

  7. LD 7 PC says:

It’s important for every patriot to stand with Sheriff Arpaio now. We can’t let these thugs run this good man out of office.

Which of our DC delegation will stand with our sheriff? Whoever begs off is not worthy of our future votes. Remember that he is and has been our strong, first line, of enforcing the law and not caving to the illegal / open borders lobby and establishment elites who want more illegals not less.

ILLEGAL immigration is very different from LEGAL immigration. One group disrespects our laws and our country, while the other wants to become one of us.

Let’s all commit to rally around and support our sheriff. That means more than nod in assent. It means send a donation. This is a political war. Sheriff Joe he needs the resources to fight it.

  8. Arizona Patriot says:

Too bad that there isn’t a law that if there are ANY discrepancies in the recall petitions that their organization would be forced to foot the bill for the manpower necessary to vette those 350k signatures!

  9. William says:

Perhaps the Democrats shouldn’t have fielded a wife beater with anger management issues as their candidate for Sheriff.

  10. Pima Pal says:

    New slogan:
    “Send Joe some dough.”

Whatever you can….He’s gonna need it. He’s been there for us. This is the least we can do in return. Send whatever you can. It doesn’t have to be a fortune. Besides there are campaign contribution limits.

He’s not even my sheriff. I live in Tucson. but I feel we all owe Joe Arpaio a debt of gratitude.

  11. truth or consequences says:

I see the same “Republicans” who worked with Parraz to defeat Pearce have filed a law suit in LD 25 to prevent the Republican Party from routing out voter fraud and forgeries in internal party elections within LD 25.

Check out the legal extortion by Brent Ellsworth and his puppet Chairman of LD 25, Paul Whetten, to see the lengths those RINOs are willing to go to accomplish their objectives.

Money is no problem for them and that is why Sheriff Joe will need a large war chest to fight their mafia style attacks.

  12. chick20112011 says:

I’d like Randy (whom has already earned quite a nice income at the teat of Maricopa County, to go infect back east.

  13. paul says:

and what should you do when they show up at your door asking for signatures? I will check the back of the petition FIRST to see who is supposed to be circulating the document, and then I would ask to see ID from the person with the petition. If you’re suspicious, take a picture or get some documentation (date and name of the last person who signed), ANYTHING and be ready to call the SOS. I suggest everybody do the same thing. In the last election, kids, no more than 15 years old, came to my door with Ed Pastor petitions. I slammed the door and was too stupid to follow up. That won’t happen ever again.

    • theprecinctproject says:

      Paul,
This is very good advice. I hope you keep saying it!

I am going to do the same from now on for all petition signature gatherers I encounter at the library, etc.

      Thank you.

    • William says:

sign it and use an obvious fake name so the whole sheet gets tossed

      • Paul Yoder says:

sadly, WIlliam, the whole signature doesn’t get tossed. The fake one might even get through. START to sign it, noting the exact name and date of the person ahead of you. Then say, “Oh, I changed my mind, scratch out what you wrote and hand the petition back to them. If there is ANYTHING suspicious about the person or the circumstances, make a note of it and report it to the sheriff’s election committee. They will be able to find the petition because you’ve given them a date and a name and they will see your crossed off marking. If you’ve gotten the ID of the petition circulator, they can match it to see who signed the back of the petition. If they don’t match, THEN the whole petition gets thrown out. Hopefully the petition was signed by someone who signed hundreds of them. If our side can prove fraud on YOUR petition, then the hundreds also could be invalidated. THAT WOULD BE EXCELLENT.

  14. Westnash says:

The recall process needs to be looked at to see if it is still relevant. It really just costs a lot of money for someone to defend and a public official can be impeached in any event if they are involved in a crime. I dont think the sheriff is going anywhere.

Arizona looks like fools in this new round of publicity about saying they will not enforce the laws on gun control. By the time there are laws they will be watered down and probably something people can live with. Obama’s E/O’s dont amount to anything but waste of public $$.

    • eubykdisop says:

And there we have it, Folks! A classic Liberal propaganda tactic, LOL! Let’s look at how this works, shall we?

First Westnash starts out sounding like a Conservative Republican. He doesn’t say that he supports Arpaio but raises questions about recall elections. But where does Westnash end up?

Westnash wrote: “Arizona looks like fools in this new round of publicity about saying they will not enforce the laws on gun control. By the time there are laws they will be watered down and probably something people can live with.”

This is a very old Liberal tactic. Start out sounding Conservative and then switch up to the REAL agenda. In this case, it’s gun control.

Where does Westnash stand on gun control?

      “Westnash says:
      January 8, 2013 at 8:00 am”

“There will be some changes in gun regulations at some point in 2013 and the Republicans who only tow the NRA line of “no” will lose. Wouldn’t you rather outsmart your opponent than trying unsuccessfully in throwing up a wall, that is crumbling down around you.”

And so, yet once again, SRAZ has permitted it’s blog to be used by Liberal Westnash as a vehicle for spreading Pinko propaganda!

      • Westnash says:

Euby is quick to quote my name. He squeals in most every post for SRAZ to censor people who don’t agree with him.

      • eubykdisop says:

ROFL! I squeal in almost every response to your posts for SRAZ to ban a known Liberal internet troll whose only purpose in posting in a Conservative Republican blog is to disrupt and agitate. Just awful, ain’t it? ;-)

  15. Westnash says:

    Term Limits

    • eubykdisop says:

      Preservation of The Constitution

    • Justin says:

      Westnash,
Do you advocate artifically term limiting this fine sheriff? We have term limits at the ballot box. Let;s not automatically turn out fine incumbents along with the bad. Use your brain instead of resorting to simplistic solutions. Buyer’s remorse will eventually set in.

      • Westnash says:

I advocate term limits for every elected official. Sheriff Joe has been an advocate but he is not the only person who could do the job and long terms in public service is not a good policy. You would agree that John McCain has long outlived his usefulness wouldn’t you?

      • Fed Up says:

Throwing the baby out with the bathwater is a fool’s mission. Would Paul Penzone who advocated for amnesty have been your choice over Arpaio? He was the next closest vote getter. Get a clue!

  16. Gini says:

Why don’t we just pass a law saying we can boot these whiners out of the country – it would be so much more peaceful.

  17. Paul Yoder says:

actually, a lot of the whiners are illegals, and there are already laws to boot them out of the country. They just aren’t enforced. Immigration laws are like old sodomy laws–still on the books, but not enforced. So illegals are allowed to roam freely throughout the land, and taxpayers are getting sodomized.

  18. Matt DeGennaro says:

Today’s newly released unemployment numbers show a steady rise. Now that Obama has been reelected, the numbers fakery appears to have abated.

This is just the time to open the floodgates to millions of (formerly) illegal job seekers to hammer American citizens in this pathetic job market. Obama and the traitorous Republicans led by John McCain and Jeff Flake don’t care. They are well positioned. All that matters to them are votes, which will continue go to the Democrats. These shortsighted and treacherous politicians need to be out of office.

Did you vote for them? You’re part of the problem. Good luck explaining that to your grandchildren when they can’t get a seat in college because they were beat out by “dreamers” and our country becomes an appendage of Mexico.

    • Westnash says:

      Term Limits

    • Westnash says:

Not just Mexican’s…..the Tech companies want to open to Indians so they can hire them at wages less than they would pay Americans.

If our officials and educators were working together they would find out the needs of the tech companies and train American kids to fill the jobs or help identify those who now have the skills.

      • eubykdisop says:

But Westnash, you said that “One World” and the “New World Order” is “black helicopters”. You attempted to discount the statements by Joe Biden in the Congressional Record about the “New World Order”. Now, suddenly, you’re wondering why educators and officials aren’t working together to train American kids to fill jobs. Duh! Get a clue!
