A conversation about debt limits

There’s a new bank in town…us!

For those who are not quite sure about the term “sequestration,”or the threats being tossed around by the Obama administration and its congressional and media sycophants, we invite you to watch this simplified and easily understandable version:

Then click on the real time U.S. debt clock. This is the one the Democrats wanted turned off as they spoke during congressional debate as they pushed to raise the debt ceiling. The truth made them uncomfortable. The Washington Times carried this report.

This tells it like it is…especially with the little girl signing her future away to pay for her father’s excesses.

  2. Chuck says:

No surprise that the Dems wanted the US Debt Clock taken off the monitors when they spoke. Reality is too harsh for them.

  3. LD 7 PC says:

Very good representation of liberal thinking. As the old saying goes, figures don’t lie, but liars figure. They figure on others to foot the unsustainable bills they continue to rack up. With this mindset, we’ll follow Greece and others in the EU into the economic toilet.

I apologize for this off topic post but feel this to be important and have no other way of alerting SRAZ to it. I’m also madder than hell about it!

Two online venues which have historically been in the Conservative corner are Townhall and National Review Online. Now, however, they offer up these opinion pieces, both by their respective editors:

    “March 1, 2013 12:00 P.M.
    CPAC’s Empty Chairs
    By The Editors”

“The sponsors and organizers of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) are voluntary associations that are of course entitled to advocate conservative causes as they see fit, including by controlling who is and who is not invited to participate in the conference. But as friends of CPAC and fellow conservative advocates, we nevertheless regret that CPAC has excluded the gay conservative group GOProud and declined to invite New Jersey governor Chris Christie.”

    http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/341948/cpac-s-empty-chairs-editors

    “In Defense of Chris Christie”

    “Guy Benson
    Political Editor”

“But the growing consensus among some conservatives that Christie is effectively a Democrat who should be shunned by the Right and denied any claim on the word “conservative” is counter-productive madness.”

“Which brings us to the impulse to purge. I have no beef with conservatives who say they couldn’t support Christie for president. I have no quarrel with those who mount strong, principled arguments against some of his actions; indeed, I share more than a few of their criticisms. But I am alarmed and slightly perplexed by the “he’s dead to us” posture many conservatives have adopted toward the truculent governor.”

There is now a full court press to water down and redefine Conservatism. This technique of incremental nibbling away was learned by Saul Alinsky from an Italian Communist and Alinsky made it an integral part of his approach.

A recent SRAZ article noted that much was made of “Republicans” and alleged “conservative activists” who signed on to a SCOTUS brief on behalf of homosexual “marriage”. Considering the above articles and the brief, the attack strategy is obvious!

Conservatives will not yield even a fraction of an inch! Why not? Because our positions are based upon PRINCIPLES and you do not compromise principles! Furthermore, the idea that voters reject Conservative principles is false! If you question that then ask yourself why it is that the Liberal left is devoting so much time, effort and money to stomping on Conservatives. It is because they are FEARFUL of us and the message of truth which we carry!

  5. Westnash says:

Debt is the killer,,,,Sequestration is a straw dog that cuts only 4-7% when we need to be cutting twice that. Obama is using scare tactics.

    • Orion says:

Unsustainable government programs are the problem. More people receive federal checks than ever before in our nation’s history. But the numbers are not as you state. Democrats’ proposed spending cuts are actually 2% or less. The number used in the chart near the end of this video is 1%.

I believe Obama thought he could push Republicans to the wall and Boehner would cave once again. Glad that didn’t happen. Now Obama is worried about blowback. I hope the Dems finally have to own this. It was Obama’s idea from the start.

      • Westnash says:

You are correct. It is the government programs…city, county, state, and federal which are to our doom. The real amount of the sequestration is miniscule and defense and non defense actually increases.

The squealers about all things defense are as much of the problem as the liberals. Any manager who can’t cut 10% of everything is very poor. They just want to keep all their contributors dripping in the money.

Term Limits for Congress….combined with the new idea of changing election day to a Saturday should be the next issue.

ROFL! You ARE a Liberal, Westnash!

I would propose an immediate 10% cut in all military expenditures including salaries. All of us can get by on 9 out of 10…..the govt. can as well…it is nothing but would make a huge dent in the problem.”

There will be some changes in gun regulations at some point in 2013 and the Republicans who only tow the NRA line of “no” will lose. Wouldn’t you rather outsmart your opponent than trying unsuccessfully in throwing up a wall, that is crumbling down around you.”

Obviously, Euby, it is easy for you to blame Marxism, but impossible to offer a solution for the Arizona Republicans. Hopefully there is someone in the party smarter than you.”

What I worry that the Secure Our Borders bunch really wants is to spend Billions more in hiring and fences which do nothing but increase the size of Govt.”

Cutting military spending 10% across the board, supporting gun control legislation, being concerned about “blaming” Marxism, not wanting to spend money to secure our borders. That is the Obama, Liberal agenda. It don’t hardly get much more Liberal than that, LOL! Your attempt at being a Liberal “Trojan Horse Troll” has failed, Westnash. You have been outed for the Liberal you are!

    • eubykdisop says:

Your solution to “debt”, however, is a typically Liberal one, Westnash, which would damage what keeps our country strong and safe:

By the way, we give Mexico $757.7 million PER YEAR in aid. So we could spend $600 million on securing the border instead and still have $157.7 left over if we stop foreign aid to Mexico!

    • Arizona Conservative Guy says:

Saturday elections? Maybe you haven’t noticed, but we have early balloting, which means voters have about a month to vote, right at home on their kitchen table. Saturday is also the Sabbath for Jewish and Seventh Day Adventist citizens. Mainline Christian voters wouldn’t care for changing the day to Sunday, either. There’s no need to change any day, Westnash. It probably won’t be long before all voting will be done by mail in ballots. The states of Oregon and Washington have already moved to that alternative. I don’t like it, but it is far less expensive and does the job.

      • Westnash says:

I agree with early voting Euby but Saturday voting in addition makes much more sense. I would also agree with vote by mail or internet as an alternative…..the public employee’s will probably never let it happen though.

      • eubykdisop says:

No, Westnash, here is what you agree with, the Obama, Liberal leftist agenda:

Building an expensive fence across the border only made contractors rich and makes us look foolish without a cure for the problem. If the Mexicans cant get a job here…like you couldnt in Mexico, all they could do is spend money here or bring in their drugs and we should be smart enough to stop those.

i would rather give AID to Mexico that would benefit us than to waste across the Mideast.

    • eubykdisop says:

Westnash wrote: “Building an expensive fence across the border only made contractors rich and makes us look foolish without a cure for the problem.” You, John McCain, Jeff Flake, Janet Napolitano and B. Hussein Obama see eye to eye on that, Westnash. That is part of what makes you a Liberal.

Westnash wrote: “If the Mexicans cant get a job here…” And if the Communists became Capitalists… Not only can illegals get jobs here, they can start a business here, they can get a college education here, they can get food stamps here, they can get mortgages to buy homes here, they can get free health care here! Your wishing that illegals can’t get jobs here doesn’t make it reality.

Westnash wrote: “…we should be smart enough to stop those.” ROFL! “Smart” has nothing to do with it. It is the policy of B. Hussein Obama to NOT stop those, LOL!

And here is what you had to say about Sheriff Arpaio who actually DOES stop those:

Interesting that when you have someone like Joe who continues to hang on…you have a real vacuum behind them. Their ego just wont let them develop a successor. Joe should retire soon and develop a strong successor…but I am afraid hubris has set in long ago.”

Westnash wrote: “i would rather give AID to Mexico that would benefit us than to waste across the Mideast.” ROFL! So aid to Mexico benefits us but aid to Israel is a waste. Is that right, Westnash? For some reason I suspected that you would rather give aid to Mexico than to Israel. My first clue is that you are a Liberal who supports gun control legislation, Chuck Hagel as Secretary of Defense and cutting military spending 10% across the board. Have you applied for a job with the Obama administration yet?
