AZ Conservative Coalition: Latest legislative ratings

The Arizona Conservative Coalition’s (ACC) most recent legislator ratings, reflecting legislative actions as of 3/15/2013 is now available. Click here for the updated report.

Legislators are assigned to a group based on their latest rating. Bills used in the evaluation along with the summary of criteria used to weight bills can be seen here. There is also an excellent, concise analysis of each bill considered.

Howard Levine’s informative weekly narrative, is definitely worth reviewing.

The folks at ACC provide individual grades for Arizona’s Republican Representatives and Senators. Check out your elected members, look up the grades they received, and if necessary, hold them accountable with facts. Don’t forget to congratulate those who hold true to conservative principles.

FAQs answers the question, “Why is a particular legislator rated better or worse then I would have expected?”

    SRAZ:

Just a “heads up” on a national issue which originated right here in Arizona:

“House panel tells judge: Justice’s offer in Fast & Furious settlement a ‘grave disappointment'”

“Published March 16, 2013, Associated Press”

“Fast and Furious was a flawed gun-tracking investigation focused on Phoenix-area gun shops by the Justice Department’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Agents lost track of about 1,400 guns, and two guns in Operation Fast and Furious were found on the U.S. side of the border at the scene of a shooting in which U.S. border agent Brian Terry was killed.”

“President Barack Obama has invoked executive privilege and Attorney General Eric Holder has been found in contempt of the House for refusing to turn over records that might explain what led the Justice Department to reverse course, after initially denying to Congress that federal agents had used a controversial tactic called gun-walking in the failed law enforcement operation.”

“But I have to tell you that for me to really be affected by what happened, I’d have to have respect for the people who voted in that way,” Holder said in the interview last month. “And I didn’t, so it didn’t have that huge an impact on me.”

At last we have a Liberal DEMOCRAT telling the truth about something. Holder, like his boss, DEMOCRAT B. Hussein Obama, admits that he has “contempt” for Congress. That is particularly revealing as Congress is elected but Holder was appointed!

I presented a copy of your last ratings at a meeting I spoke at the the question came up of how did Kimberly Yee end up to high in the ratings, I told them to contact you as they weren’t at all pleased with many of her votes, I’d like some clarification on this myself as use your #’s to ask groups to find new people to run against those in finish below 75 as a C to me isn’t good enough to support, please let me know, and by the way would like to interview one of your people on the show sometime. God Bless You; Van

Are we all expected to contact you with our questions? Seems to me it be better to answer Van’s question here so we can all see the answer.

Here are the votes and bill sponsorships we are tracking for Sen. Yee. If you see NULL, it means the same as N/A (not applicable). Some of the columns are not appropriate for all of the actions: bill sponsorship, committee votes, floor votes. The date for all bill sponsorships is set to Jan 1 to keep things simple. Votes have the actual date and time.

I am unable to control the formatting in this reply. It’s a little hard to read as the column headings wrap around, but here it is.

My understanding is that the Az Conservative Coalition goes through all of the bills and applies positive and negative weights on them. Their website has a lot of specific information on the process and the reasons for their assessments. If you go to http://www.azconservativecoalition.com and run your cursor over the ACC Legislative Report, a drop down menu will appear. You can look at the Rankings, weekly Narrative, Bill Weights, and FAQs.

While Yee’s ranking is now fourth with an 86.1, the first week she was highest with a 100%. I am led to believe that is because she did not sponsor any negative rated bills. Therefore, it is evident that her voting record is not as conservative as her overall current score.

PS: Their website also has a “Contact Us” button that gives information on how to reach them if you have more questions,

So she was first and is now fourth and people think she’s not conservative? LOL at these idiot drones.
