ObamaCare economic truths revealed
Many Sundays we run a post titled, “Weekend reading guaranteed to make you smarter,” which has included columns by principled conservative thinkers such as Thomas Sowell, Michelle Malkin, Victor Davis Hanson, Walter Williams and Mark Steyn.
Today we vary that style with a straight news report that is “guaranteed to be unsettling.” The Denver Post runs the alarming AP article with the title: Some Americans could see their insurance bills double next year. Arizona’s Casa Grande Dispatch headlines the same report, Health Care Overhaul: Insurers warn of sticker shock. South Carolina’s The State newspaper titles the report, Insurers warn of health insurance price hikes. Texas’ Star-Telegraph writes, Some may see insurance bills double under healthcare overhaul. Townhall’s Guy Benson, using the same information, succinctly states, Health Insurers: Huge Obamacare Premium Hikes Are Coming.
Newspapers from coast to coast covering Obama’s scheme to federally revamp America’s health care delivery system begin with the same chilling two sentences:
“Some Americans could see their insurance bills double next year as the healthcare overhaul law expands coverage to millions of people. The nation’s big health insurers say they expect premiums — or the cost for insurance coverage — to rise from 20 to 100 percent for millions of people due to changes that will occur when key provisions of the Affordable Care Act roll out in January 2014.”

I especially appreciate Congressman Rogers quote from Abraham Lincoln: “You can’t make a weak man strong by making a strong man weak.” Marxist Obama surely doesn’t hold to that belief.
In redistributionist Obama’s warped view, we punish the 85% of Americans (both employees and employers) in order to provide for 15% who are without coverage.
And how do you think that plays out with the hordes of invading foreign nationals so beloved by the liberal dems and their co-conspirators McCain, Flake, Graham, Rubio and their dem “gang of 8“ cohorts? Will these suddenly “former” illegals be denied benefits? Not a chance. As brand new amnestied citizens, they are specifically assured of receiving health care. They’ve actually been receiving it all along, along with numerous other social service benefits in addition to free health care (been to an emergency room in recent years?). American taxpaying citizens fund their education, WIC vouchers, food stamps, and numerous other forms of government assistance, all of which result in massive costs to state, local and federal governments which WE fund. We pay (tens of $ billions annually), the illegals, RINOs and dems play.
As a retired licensed health care professional, who has been on the inside of the health care system, I have a little different perspective than many on ObamaCare.
I see ObamaCare as a stepping stone to pure socialized medicine in the same way that the Communists have always viewed Socialism as a stepping stone to Communism.
Recall that Obama was criticized by the left for not implementing a “single payer” system, which is synonymous with socialized medicine. A careful analysis, however, will reveal that ObamaCare has been calculated to ultimately result in pure, socialized medicine. How?
Well, SRAZ hit it in their article; insurance premium costs! ObamaCare is not sustainable because consumers and employers will ultimately not be able to afford the premiums. Then, a “solution” will be required. What will that “solution” be? Pure, socialized medicine!
Think about how clever it is to artificially induce a crisis which will result in people demanding pure, socialized medicine rather than having to overcome their resistance to it!

I am also in the healthcare field, euby. I work with a Doctor who’s a Candian National, who immigrated here Legally, & is now an American Citizen. He’s one of the most Conservative Men I know. He says the EXACT SAME THING you’ve stated above. And if we all think that idiot diane feinstein’s gun proposals are restrictive…JUST WAIT ’till this crapola kicks in! And again I’ll say, “our elected representatives continue to DO ABSOLUTELY NUTHIN’!!!”

That is why, being on the inside of health care like you are, I feel a responsibility to share my perceptions with those who are only consumers of health care. They can’t know unless we clue them in!
As regards our elected representatives, Doc, the majority on both sides of the aisle are united in promoting the “One World”, “New World Order” agenda for which socialized medicine, gun control and illegal alien amnesty are essential. So I’m not expecting to be saved by Congress unless we succeed in getting more true blue Conservatives elected.
As was PROVEN by john “th’ COWARD” boehner’s comments regarding his political lover, barry sortero. I FIRMLY AGREE with this train of thought. Another example is the SRAZ Posted article here. mcstain calling Senators Cruz & Paul “wacky”??? There’s th’ pot callin’ th’ kettle BLACK! Th’ recall of 2001 needs to REVIVE! THIS person is a THREAT TO OUR LIBERTY…in my never so humble opinion…

The “New World Order” agenda explains a lot but despite a plethora of credible and well-documented information about it, even on the internet, people seem to put it on ignore. I think the reason is this:
“The individual is handicapped by coming face to face with a Conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists. The American mind simply has not come to a realization of the evil which has been introduced into our midst.” – J. Edgar Hoover
Hoover said that specifically about Communism but I think it applies equally well to the “New World Order”. The reality of the “New World Order” is so sinister and frightening that people don’t want to recognize it, hoping that if they ignore it that it will somehow go away.
It isn’t going to go away. It is upon us and growing every day. If we hope to remain free we must call it by name, face it squarely and do battle with it.
Again we are of a like mind euby. This “new world order” is the proverbial “white elephant” in th’ room. If Americans continue to ignore it, it will eventually get hungry, & OUR LIBERTY & FREEDOM will be it’s supper! The disgusting thing to me (& I’m sure most Consrevatives will agree) is that most of our elected representatives, who allegedly KNOW TH’ CONSTITUTION…are merrily driving th’ American “bus” down th’ road to destruction! They’re not just goin’ along, THEY’RE HELPIN’!
Right on, Doc! We each need to do what we can and what we are capable of doing to preserve the great United States of America. Each of us has something we can do and if we all pitch in and do what we can, we will get to keep our nation and our freedom!
I might add that ObamaCare, when put in context, is infinitely more sinister than it appears to be at first glance. The idea behind Obama’s plan is to make the American people DIRECTLY dependent upon the government for the essentials of life. Why? Because if the government directly controls essentials it can withhold essentials as a means of controlling the people.
Dependence on government issued food stamps is at an all time record high under Obama and now we are moving toward socialized, government controlled health care. The day may come when if you are vocal in your criticism of the government you will find that your food, medications and medical care has been cut off by some administration “czar”.
The resulting effects from premium hikes of 20-100% will be huge. Consumer spending will drop through the floor. Already the government has capped Health Spending Accounts at $2400- another way to make sure Americans aren’t hiding income that they want to get their greedy hands on. Once healthcare premiums shoot through the roof, people are going to make tough choices.
Healthcare is not optional, but dining out, vacations, new cars, new clothes- those are. Watch for a resurgence in “the recession that wouldn’t die” and more Americans out of work.

THAT is at the core of Obama’s strategy, patriotmom. He has guaranteed, through ObamaCare, that premiums SHALL become unaffordable and the “tough choice” will be between no health care and socialized medicine. Given that choice, people will choose socialized medicine and Obama will have achieved his Socialist objective through finesse, without ever having had to engage in a battle with the American people over it.
This is why the battle is here and the battle is NOW with ObamaCare. If ObamaCare remains in place to a sufficient degree for a long enough period of time, 100% pure socialized medicine MUST follow. It is inevitable.
So let us not be fooled. Let us see the reality. We are not fighting a battle against a lesser evil with ObamaCare. The outcome of the battle over ObamaCare will determine whether or not America has government-controlled socialized medicine. There is no battle over socialized medicine which will come later on. The battle over ObamaCare will be the one and only battle.
…and don’t forget folks…as these insurance premiums shoot thru t’ ever-luvin’ ROOF…if ya’ DON’T go for this socialist/marxist plan, & ya’ can’t afford th’ bill also, th’ “EYE-ARRA-ESS” will FINE/TAX ya’ ta’ DEATH! Congress has had th’ authority ALL ALONG to put obamacare to a screechin’ grindin’ metal-2-metal HALT! All they have to do is CLOSE TH’ CHECKBOOK! But with barry sortero & john “th’ COWARD” boehner enjoyin’ their new love affair, we’re gonna’ have to put a little more pressure on our Congressional Representatives to get him to DO HIS JOB!
One continually-ignored clause of obamaocare gives obamao the formal authority to access all of your bank and financial accounts. The intent is that he & his czars can monitor what you are saving & where. Then, when they decide you are not paying your fair share for whatever they decide, they can go in and take it from your accounts. To administer and enforce obamaocare, he just hired SIXTEEN THOUSAND new IRS agents, thanks to RIINO Boehner giving him whatever he asks for. And the hiring hasn’t stopped there. Through November, obamao had hired an average of 107 new federal employees per day every day since his immaculation – 7 days per week, weekends and holidays included. Since election day, the hiring has increased.
RINOS Boehner and Cantor have succeeded in denying every attempt by conservative Republicans to strip obamaocare funding from all of these Continuing Spending Resolutions. (Sadly, none of those attempts came from the AZ4, whose voices seem to have fallen silent for the most part.) Unless stopped, obamao will destroy private healthcare and achieve total government control. And he and his cohorts, Boehner – Cantor – John Roberts, et al, will be up there looking down at all of their subjects and surrounded by their personal private doctors. Not a pretty picture.
