In AZRepublicSpeak, “courage” is exhibited by subverting laws
In case you haven’t already gotten the message from columnists Montini and Roberts, the non-too-subtle Republic editorially pounds the drum in support of scholarship funding for state university students here illegally.
Just last year, voters approved Proposition 300, requiring those in our country in violation of our laws to pay out-of-state tuition. Such illegal students are legally ineligible to receive state-funded financial assistance.
But the law is not part of the newspaper’s open-border agenda. So they term the actions of ASU President Michael Crow to subvert that law “courageous.”
