First, the good news: Employer sanctions working!

Much to the distress of the Arizona Republic, illegals are leaving

The daily newspaper is venting over the fact that apartments catering to mostly illegal aliens are emptying as many of the renters are losing their jobs and heading home to Mexico.

This is precisely what the intent of the law was. Unhinge the carrot (jobs) from the front end of the immigration cart, and the flow will subside.

But the daily Fish-wrapper, long a proponent of illegal immigration and open borders, can barely conceal its angst as they fret over the departing “migrants.”

These articles are comical. Watching the Republic skewed and hoisted on its own petard is great entertainment. The law is accomplishing what the citizens intended.

What a wonderful thing it is to see the fruit of your labors take form. Voting matters!

These folks need to return home and better their own counties with their efforts. If their government is corrupt, fix it. Sneaking into the US is not the way to immigrate. Intruders sneaking into our homes are not our friends, and are not deserving of assistance.

I know I’m beginning to sound like a broken record, but what do you expect from this rag of a newspaper? They have a left-wing agenda a mile wide that includes support of sanctuary city policies and throwing out a big welcome mat for illegals. Gays are spotlighted since the head honcho is an out-of-the-closet chap.

Eugene and Nina Pullian must be rolling over in their graves. Under their leadership, the paper actually presented news. Yes, it had a conservative bent, but nothing as blatant as the left-wing agenda it has today. Things went downhill when Fritz Marquardt and Tully left. Keven Willy began the destruction of the editorial pages and Richard deUriarte is putting the finishing touches on them. We had great political news from Bernie Wynn who probably kept a cot in the basement of the capitol building and knew every piece of legislation, political fact and inuendo. Jim Kolbe was a similar gem.

Today, the Republic is hemorrhaging subscribers who are leaving for other news sources and out of sheer disgust. They have laid off veteran reporters to hire robo-reporters who follow marching orders from the editorial board. The young and underpaid news staffers come straight out of the ASU Cronkite School of Liberal Journalism chute where they regurgitate whatever they are spoon fed by their editors. This is supposed to pass for news.

Does anyone think it’s serendipitous that reporters are given assignments based on ethnicity? Why does Daniel González cover all of the stories on “migrants” or “undocumented?” Soon he will call them travelers or northern vacationers.

This paper will not be in existence in ten years. Am I being too generous? Make that five.
