Illegal in more ways than one

Children’s IDs stolen from medical files

A searing report from City Journal details the effects of identity theft that undergirds illegal immigration. Arizona is among the top five states where this crime has exploded as illegals employ every means possible to gain false identity.

The drop-houses in which the Arizona Republic routinely reports illegals are being held “against their will,” are actually safe havens where they wait for stolen documents to be processed–enabling them to apply for jobs, obtain driver’s licenses and other necessary paperwork to give them the air of legitimacy.

One of the most alarming aspects of the criminal activity involves health-care employees with access to children’s files, working for organized gangs that trade in illegal documents and are willing to pay handsomely for the data. “We have a major problem with workers in medical offices stealing patients’ identities, selling them and making a direct profit,” says Sergeant James Bracke of the Phoenix Police Department.

Identity Theft 911 estimates that in Arizona alone, some 1.57 million people, or a quarter of the state’s population, (linked report has mysteriously vanished) have been victims over the last six years. About one-fifth are children-whose Social Security numbers are especially valuable targets, since children usually aren’t employed, making discovery of the fraud unlikely for years.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for the daily fish-wrapper to do an in-depth report on this deplorable aspect of the illegal immigration issue. You’ll turn blue long before it takes up the cause.

Stealing the social security numbers of young children from their medical records is an astonishing act of criminality.
“Just more good people coming to do the jobs we Americans refuse?” I am so sick of this refrain I could scream. Thank you for exposing this.
I will withhold my vote from any republican candidates I hear utter these unforgivable words again. Ditto “guest workers.”

We elect them to protect the rights of AMERICANS. If they don’t do that, we might as well have democrats sell us out.

  2. Jack says:

This well thought out crime is especially heinous and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. E-Verify Plus is needed to rout out these criminals who have not only invaded our country, but also the areas where we ordinarily feel most protected —our doctor’s offices and .hospitals.

What low-lifes! And Rep, John Shadegg says he supports a “guest” worker program–“from forever?” Really? How would he like to have had his children’s identity stolen by these “guests?” They aren’t picking lettuce and melons anymore, Mr. Congressman. They are not only taking American citizen’s jobs in the construction trades and industrial plants throughout our nation, but they are also over represented in crime stats.

You represent US, or did you forget that?

  3. Charlie Conservative says:

If you aren’t already aware of it, you should know that Shadegg is in the bag for McCain. If the politicians would not enforce our immigration laws, what in the hell would make us believe that Shadegg is serious. He is just putting us on as Kyl did.

They need to go! Leave!! Exit Please!! No more lies. Close the damn border!!
Defend the citizens of the United States against the invasion for God’s sake!!

No more double speak about a guaranteed unworkable guest worker program.

It becomes more and more apparent that we need to throw all the bums out and hope that we can rebuild. We have had enough of these part time conservatives. That is what is being reflected in the Special Congressional Elections.

Just what we need: More such dedicated, diligent and hardworking ‘guests.” Bring ’em on in!!!!!
