Minutemen protest San Francisco’s sanctuary city policy after brutal slaying

The high cost of illegal immigration and protective sanctuary city policies

The high cost of illegal immigration has been given center stage with the gruesome murders last month of a father and his two sons shot near their home while returning from a family picnic.

Jim Gilchrist, Founder of the Minutemen Project assembled a group of protestors outside city hall to demand the resignation of San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, whose lax city polities give aid and comfort to such violent offenders. Gilchrist also denounced the mayors of Phoenix, Denver, Los Angeles for presiding over sanctuary cities. Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon is currently the target of a citizen recall.

It turns out that the brutal road rage murderer and illegal alien gang member, Edwin Ramos, was the beneficiary of the city’s long-standing practice of shielding from deportation, illegal alien juveniles who commit felonies. The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Ramos, now 21, was convicted of assault and an attempted robbery when he was 17, but in keeping with the city polices, officials did not turn him over to federal immigration authorities.

Flinging mud in the eye of the city’s citizens, Newsom’s spokesman said, “This policy has been met with controversy for 20 years. The mayor stands by the spirit of the sanctuary city policy.”

Ramos is now being held on three counts of murder in the June 22 deaths of Tony Bologna, 48, and his sons Michael, 20, and Matthew, 16.

Francisco Hernandez, featured in this Fox News video, portrays himself as simply an “immigration attorney.” He is, in fact, a member of the John McCain presidential campaign. His brother Juan Hernandez is McCain’s Hispanic Outreach Director. Please watch this shocking video..

Then watch John McCain’s response to a citizen questioning him to about why Hernandez is on his staff.

  1. Frankly Speaking says:

This despicable scenario provides another tragic example of what happens when known illegal alien felons aren’t deported and are allowed to remain in our country to prey on innocent citizens like the husband and two sons of Danielle Bologna.

  2. Jim Dandy says:

Thank you Mayors Phil Gordon and Gavin Newsom.
    Thank you John McCain.
Thank you business owners and your representative Chambers of Commerce who put profits above American laws and national security.
    I thank you.
    My wife thanks you.
    My children thank you.

Our votes will be with those who support our country.

  3. Joe Evans says:

Immigration laws have been neutered by big business influences like our local fast food multi-millionaires who support political stooges who will advocate for their continued supply of low wage workers
Now we have the deceptively named ballot initative Stop Illegal Hiring being pushed by Andrew Pacheco, a tool of the business establishement. The sole purpose of the name is to confuse voters into thinking it will actually curtail illegal immigration, when it is actually promoting just the opposite effect.

  4. Kent says:

McCain’s smarmy response to that woman who questioned him was not acceptable. I hear his AZ numbers are not as good as he might have hoped. What a surprise.

  5. Christa says:

If Sen. McCain loses Arizona it will be the end of the line for him-much like Al Gore losing his home state of Tennessee.

  6. Ajo Joe says:

Gore had a counterpart. Christa. George McGovern of South Dakota suffered a similar fate. The problem for these men is that their own home state voters know them well enough to realize what bums they are. Could happen here, although I doubt it. Arizona has too many newcomers and memories are short.
