And if you missed it the first time around….

The Republic endorses Karl Marx’s dream

The daily’s weekend supplement which regurgitates all of the news from the previous week, wants to remind their dwindling readership that they give an emphatic Thumbs Up to the efforts of Begging for a Handout Mayor Phil Gordon.

Under the headline Gordon’s push for stimulus funds earns our applause is this typical leftist short take:

“Whether you agree with the president’s stimulus plan, thumbs up are in order for Phoenix mayor Phil Gordon, who joined other mayors in a meeting with President Barack Obama to represent the interests of their constituents and insure that their cities get their fair share of funding.”

No mention that the so-called “fair share” comes from overburdened taxpayers across the nation or that the stimulus scheme is filled with non-essential projects. Also omitted is the fact that the grandchildren of today’s toddlers will continue to bear the indefensible debt that comes along with this Marxist ideal of redistribution of wealth.

From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.”

– Karl Marx, a founder of modern socialism and communism

Competence-challenged Mr. Phil ( “Oh no!!!” ) pushes for “stimulus” funds in the wake of the Great Arizona State Democrat Spending Debacle and amid the Great Phoenix Property Industries Pyramid Scheme. This is nothing more than a transparent attempt to shore up his collapsed political future. Linking Mr. Phil ( “Oh no!!!” ) with Karl Marx is an insult to Karl Marx.

Karl Marx had intellectual rigor, and was a learned historical philospher – whatever you might think of his writings. Often Marx is blamed for interpretations of his writings, which differed dramatically from Marx’s own views (and which he disowned). In much the same way, advocates of “free trade” invoke ideas from Adam Smith that they frankly don’t understand, because usually they’ve never actually read “The Wealth of Nations” – they’ve just read some three-paragraph “summary” in their Econ 101 course along with reams of politically correct idiocy.

Mr. Phil, on the other hand, is a hack. In Gordon’s view, park benches fight crime and his junket to Dubai can be justified even if the city is bankrupt.

All true, RA. Additionally Obama has stated that ‘he wants to spread the wealth around.’ He’s been very clear on his redistribution of wealth ideology. We can’t say we weren’t warned. Flash Gordon is trying to get what the Arizona Republic tells him they will support him in reaching for. It’s called liberal collusion.

  3. Jeff says:

In this 2001 Chicago Public Radio interview with Obama he clearly stated his Marxist views on redistribution of wealth to “attain economic justice in society.”

We can’t say we were duped…just damned stupid.

This is right up Phil Gordon’s alley! Beware. The guy wants to be our governor!

Quotes today? Here’s another fine one, right from the mouth of WWII hero Churchill. It takes some pondering.

“The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.” – Winston Churchill
