Barry Soetoro at the White House

President Barack Hussein Obama’s early years were a complicated mix. His Kansas-born mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, met his Kenyan father, Barack Obama — the University of Hawaii’s first African student —  in a Russian class. Their marriage was of short duration after which father and son had very little contact.

She then had a brief marriage with Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian student. Together they had a daughter, Maya. In 1966 the family moved to Jakarta. The San Francisco Chronicle provides an interesting glimpse into her unconventional life.

I wouldn’t have believed this if I didn’t see it myself!! This is preposterous!

  2. Calypso says:

If the White House links it this way, they obviously acknowledge his other persona. Quite the thing for the President of the United States to be using another name.

  3. Ron says:

Why not? A lot of his personal presentation is not as it appears. He won’t even produce actual birth records to verify his citizenship and denies he was educated in Muslim schools in Indonesia, although documents show him as being registered as a Muslim student by his step-father Lolo Soetoro.

  4. Doug Johnson says:

William Jefferson Clinton was actually born William Jefferson Blythe. It seems Democrats are rarely who they appear to be.
