Meghan McCain: The new face of the Republican party?

Appearing with the lefties on “The View”  (video link here) to ridicule Republicans, John McCain’s 24-year-old daughter Meghan, opines that unless the Republican party veers left it will become “obsolete.”

She dismisses Carl Rove, Dick Cheney and Newt Gingrich as old and out of touch with young voters. “You’ve had your eight years, now go away,” the puerile Ms. McCain says of Rove.

She also bashes Republicans on the Daily Beast, where she blogs inanely.

It’s worth noting that Meghan McCain only registered as a Republican this past year as a Father’s Day surprise, in a display of “commitment” to her Dad. At the time, he was the GOP nominee for the U.S. Presidency.

It took a while for her to commit to dear old Dad.

  1. Jack says:

Maybe dad was too old and out of touch to earn her support?

  2. Anna says:

Does this spoiled brat have a real job?

  3. Dennis O'Brien says:

This classless and salty tongued young woman (“Kiss my fat ass!“) is obviously a chip off the old block, and just as crude and irrelevant.

  4. Jana Simmons says:

As a blonde who usually enjoys them, this is one blonde joke that I don’t find funny.

  5. Another LD11 PC says:

She just got a book deal for $3 mil. Wonder how she swung that?

  6. RA says:

If Meghan McCain is the new face of the Republican Party, where on earth are the brains behind that face?

  7. Kent says:

That old irrelevant Dad of hers probably had at least a bit to do with the deal, wouldn’t you say?

It should be about as interesting a read as the memoir dictated by Barbara Bush’s dog, Millie.

  8. Jim Osborn says:

McBrat doesn’t seem to like anyone. She has excoriated Gov. Sarah Palin, her father’s running mate — who was responsible for actually bringing him a load of conservative GOP votes that he was unlikely to get otherwise. Also on her hate list are RNC National Chairman, Michael Steele; syndicated columnist and lawyer, Ann Coulter who Ms. McBrat says she had never heard of; former US House Speaker Newt Gingrich; former VP Dick Cheney and GOP mega strategist Karl Rove — all people far more accomplished than McBrat is. And all dedicated Republicans!

Yet she is all too happy to sit with the lame dames of The View, who are liberal to the core. Those are her people.

  9. Bill Kunze says:

Meghan, If our Republican platform does not suit you, then as Ronald Reagan advised, please go your own way.

Don’t we wish Juan McCain was irrelevant. It’s a lot worse than that. He proactively is bent on destroying the American way of life with his amnesty for 25+ million illegal job takers who will immediately rush out and register socialist, woops I mean democrat.

  10. Doug Johnson says:

That’s an excellent point, Bill. Meghan McCain actually quoted Christie Todd Whitman as someone she admires, who is famous for her leftist positions but said of the Republican Party, “It’s my party, too!”

Miz McCain should join Whitman and get signed up with the party that really does represent them. it’s called the DEMOCRAT Party. We have a platform that both of these women are clearly unfamiliar with.
