Next he’ll come for your firstborn

Each Obama power grab seems more outrageous than the one preceding it.

Now we read that aides to Democrat Sen. Jay Rockefeller, (WV), have been hard at work drafting a bill that allows the president to seize temporary control of private-sector networks during a so-called cyber security emergency — in effect handing the White House the power to disconnect private-sector computers from the Internet.

Read this jaw-dropping report from CNET News. This is an excerpt of the 55-page draft of S.773.

  1. Ron says:

In my lifetime there have been Presidents I disliked more than others. (Certainly Jimmy Carter and Slick Willy come to mind)

There has never been a President I have feared — until now.

  2. Joe Evans says:

You are right to feel that way, Ron. We are being led by a committed Marxist who is bankrupting and nationalizing our county while constricting our liberties. This is a loathsome man who is attempting to undo our everything that has made America the envy of the world.

  3. American Dad says:

I read that a Valley preacher was praying for his death. While I certainly don’t agree with that obvious lunatic, I do believe that Obama is loathsome and is intent on bringing this nation to its knees. He is the anthesis of what our Founders envisioned and the greatness we have acheived. And, yes, Joe, he is a Marxist.

  4. Sgt. Preston says:

Sad to say, but America is asleep at the switch. The people are content with their entertainment and toys and are letting the enemies of democracy have at America. American Dad speaks of our Founding Fathers. They would never have imagined the ease with which this takeover is being accomplished and with not much of a peep of protest. Certainly the main stream media is complicit, and the conservatives on talk radio and cable are in the crosshairs for being silenced next.

  5. Dist. 7 PC says:

There can be no dissent to Barack Hussein Obama. Opposition is always silenced in the Marxist philosophy.

  6. sherriaz says:

Americans have chosen to remove God from much of our lives: it isn’t surprising that He is returning the favor. However, many of us are praying mightily that He returns to bless our country as He has in the past.

This would include stopping any socialist bills, routing the Dems in 2010 and making BHO a one term president through provision of a strong Republican candidate in 2012. We can’t afford to have another McCain go up against BHO in 2012 and we need to get control of the election process before that by removing Acorn’s power in 2010.

Then, perhaps, we can begin to sleep again at night.

  7. Justin says:

Sherri has the courage to tell the awful Republican truth. McCain gave us Obama.

The GOP could not overcome the snarly, lackluster candidate, who was marginally acceptable to Democrats until an even leftier leftist entered the race. McCain lost the GOP base years ago with his amnesty pandering. And a fat lot of good it did for him to put illegals before American taxpaying citizens…the Hispanic vote overwhelmingly went to Barack Hussein Obama.

  8. papatodd says:

BHO told us during his campaign that he was going to do exactly what he doing now. He kept his promise.
