Madcap McCain: Doesn’t support ending birthright citizenship…today

Ten days ago John McCain responded to TPM reporters inquiring into his view on the issue of rescinding the birthright citizenship provisions of the 14th Amendment: “Do you support the Minority Leader’s [Mitch McConnell] push for hearings into the repeal of birthright citizenship?” asked the reporter.

“Sure, why not?” responded McCain..

Fast forward to yesterday. Dancing the long practiced McCain two-step, the zany senator gave a different response to the same question.  McCain now says he is not requesting hearings into the constitutional amendment that grants automatic citizenship to babies born in the United States to parents here illegally, and does not support changing the Constitution. An estimated 400,000 anchor babies — one in twelve — of all babies born in the U.S. last year were born to illegal aliens.

Such a madcap guy, McCain is. Always keeping us on our toes.

The U.S. stands alone among industrialized nations in granting citizenship to all children born on its soil. No European nations grant birthright citizenship. Only these nations do.

Nothing new – just McCain as usual, WAKE UP AZ!! Vote for JD!

  2. American Dad says:

John McCain bowed to the racist and separatist LaRaza (“The Race”)during his 2008 failed presidential campaign. He puts Mexico and illegals above American citizens. Kathy is right. We need to WAKE UP! JD Hayworth will not cater to illegals,

  3. Capt. Marvel says:

Arizonans shouldn’t be surprised by anything McAmnesty does. He’s been at this game for 30 years. McCain is a high dollar, cardboard construct and we are the fools for allowing him to continue to be reelected.

    • Doc says:

The surprizing thing is that even after all of the exposed LIES from our senior ?senator?, there are STILL P.C.’s who vehemently support him….I personally spoke to one @ the Yavapai Republican meeting THIS VERY DAY! And I sent this person several videos of his duplicity last week!

Struther Martin said it best! “What we have here is a FAILURE….TO COMMUNICATE! SOME MEN you juss cain’t REACH!”

  4. Mason says:

Apparently he thinks he has a big enough lead in the polls to start returning to form. JD may have his flaws, but I bet I could get everyone to hate Mother Theresa if I was willing to spend $20 million on tearing down her character.

  5. CharlotteW says:

First off McNasty has been running two campaign for many years, why would this year be any different. He is trying to cater to both sides of an issue, as usual. Arizona if you have any intelligence you will vote Senator Hayworth into office and rid us of McLouse.

  6. AZ Conservative Guy says:

Placing trust in John McCain for anything is a fool’s errand. He should be running to represent Mexico, not the citizens of the United States. John McCain is a longtime fraud who has gained wealth and power by screwing people without regard to who gets hurt in the process.

  7. Keen Observer says:

It is pretty simple, Hayworth is the Consistent Conservative; McCain is the Liar-in-Chief. Who do you want casting a vote for you? Hayworth who has a proven Consistent Conservative record or McCain who is
ashamed to bring up his record because on the key items that are priorities in conservative eyes, McCain has been very liberal with his legislation campaigns funded by George Soros. His goal for the Republican Party is suicidal….give unassimilated illegal aliens citizenship so they will vote in Democrats who will cede the U.S. to Mexico.

  8. TeaPartyPatriot says:

INDISPUTABLE FACT: The ORIGINAL INTENT of the 14th Amendment, by its author, was NOT to allow ILLEGALS birthright citizenship, but that they should retain citizenship according to their parents’ country:

Senator Jacob M. Howard of Michigan – the author of the Citizenship Clause in the amendment – described the clause as excluding American Indians who maintain their tribal ties, and “persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers.” Howard was supported in this view by many other senators.

As they’ve done countless times, lunatic-left activist judges, particularly Justice William J. Brennan in his absurd, baseless footnote in his 5-4 opinion in Plyler v. Doe, have ignored the original intent of the clause and have instead re-defined it to reflect their ideological perversions. American patriots must now correct this perversion of the 14th Amendment as we Take Back Our Country.

NB – ANOTHER INDISPUTABLE FACT: In 1993, just after Democrats won the White House, Dirty-Harry Reid filed a bill that would have done exactly what many Americans now demand — end birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants. (If nothing else, this fact further illustrates what a TOTAL AND COMPLETE HYPOCRITE dirty harry is based on his recent, mis-guided position..)

Keen Observer says it well. That is the McCain we know and should never again support. Don’t be swayed by his lying ads. This is the guy who was captured in the Keatng Five scandal years ago, but snakelike was able to slither out of the debacle that brought down other congressmen ensnared with him. They didn’t come from a family of Navy admirals or have the unlimited resources of an heiress wife.

  10. Kelly says:

No wonder the Arizona Republic loves McMain. He’s in, part and parcel, with their stated policy of open borders. Remember his presidential campaign even hired Juan Hernandez as McCain’s Hispanic Outreach Director. I was unrepresented. They had no Irish, Scottish or German Outreach Directors for me.
