Listen to this interview with Florida Congressman Allen West as constitutional law scholar Mark Levin discusses the decimation of U.S. Rep. West’s district.
A retired Lt. Col., West is a conservative, tea party-backed congressman whose district has been the victim of a hostile carving knife and virtually redistricted out of existence.
Levin is eminently familiar with the Voting Rights Act and doesn’t buy the argument that this was happenstance. West has been an outspoken critic of Barack Obama.
Meanwhile, it’s being reported today that the federal budget deficit will top $1 trillion again this year. In the clearest of terms that means there is a $1.1 trillion gap between government spending and tax collections for 2012. The massive gap has not impacted the non-stop Obama spending machine.
American citizens in every state benefit from keeping the extraordinary U.S. Rep. Allen West in Congress. He casts well-reasoned votes that impact us all.

Congressman Allen West is bright, articulate and well versed in conservative values and the US Constitution. No wonder they want him out.
A black conservative, who states his case ever so well and has personally achieved so much, has got to be taken down. The contrast he poses to Obama is more than liberals can take.
Lt Col West is an AWESOME American and Congressman, which is why the Republican establishment can’t stand him either.
Next time you get a mailing from the Republican National Committee asking you for money, keep in mind that it was the GOP establishment, not the Democrats, who changed the district boundaries so they could get rid of Col. West.
It was the same GOP establishment who undermined Sharron Angle in Nevada and supported Harry Reid instead.
I eagerly await the day when conservatives will no longer have to use the Republican Party as their vehicle for getting elected.
May a plague take the RINO establishment.
Karl Rove is the man to hold responsible. What you describe as being done to Sharron Engle was also done to Kelly O’Donnell, who he sliced and diced at every turn. Rove attempts to pass himself off as a conservative, but he’s a card carrying RINO. Each time I hear that sappy, butt kisser Sean Hannity refer to Rove as “The Architect,” I have to restrain myself from hurling a shoe at the TV.
Garvan – I stopped donating to RNC years ago – I do however send in my questionaire or request with I ONLY SUPPORT CONSERVATIVES written across their mailing and then of course send back in their self stamped envelope.
Thankfully, Colonel West now has decided to run in an even more Republican district nearby that will give him an even better chance to win than his previous district did. This is because Republican Rep. Tom Rooney decided not to run in his current district. We need more conservatives like Rep. West & it looks like we will now have a much better chance to keep him around for a while.
I’m just annoyed that Alan West is one of those conservatives that has tied his hands by making an annoying term limits pledge, so he won’t be around for much longer (at least in the US House) if he doesn’t pull a Jeff Flake and lie about it.
