Money well spent?

The Obama’s 13-year-old daughter Malia is taking a spring break respite from the tough life in the White House, cooling her heels this week in Mexico.

Although the country is on the U.S. Department of State’s website as among the most dangerous on the planet her parents felt secure in allowing their young daughter to travel. Never mind that Mexico is on the same list with Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan. Iraq, Libya and Somalia and her father‘s own federal offices tell Americans to “delay non-essential travel“ to the country. The list was updated last month.

But why worry? Malia and her entourage of school friends are well protected — guarded by a team of 25 taxpayer-funded U.S. Secret Service agents, as well as Mexican police.

Doesn’t that knowledge warm your cockles?

FYI: in 2011, “Fat Cakes” ( aka: “For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country”) michelle spent more than $10 MILLION of our tax money on her luxury vacations. Shortly after returning from her taxpayer-funded luxury vacation in January in Hawaii, she headed off for her taxpayer-funded vacation in Aspen. Looks like the OBOZO-clan “shared sacrifice” luxury vacations for 2012 will cost us taxpayers even more than we were robbed of in 2011.

I’m sure the Secret Service is keeping a keen eye out for those carrying Fast & Furious weapons, since Obama and Holder armed the cartels & hundreds have been murdered including Brian Terry and ICE Zapata. Meanwhile – the O’s just keep partying away (including their children).

I remember thinking that Natalie Halloway’s mother was more keen on being a friend than parent to her daughter when at 17 she was allowed to go off on a trip to Aruba over spring break. She was frequenting bars and going off with strange guys to deserted beaches and ultimately never returned. The Obama’s daughter is being watched (at our expense) but I still think she’s too young to be given this lenient treatment.
Parents have a responsibilty to act as parents, not pals. That includes saying “no!” and risking getting the kids ticked off.

Too bad she couldn’t have taken some additional students with her- perhaps the self-identified illegals that protested today. At least that way we would have gotten something for our taxpayer dollars.

Her fathers lax policies regarding deportation enforcement are emboldening illegal students once again to demand their so-called “rights” as they continue to take college seats and jobs from American students. Hopefully more will “come out of the shadows” and make demands as we move closer to the election. Nothing brings out indignant American voters like illegals making demands on our soil.

What an astute observation, Patriot Mom! I wish I had thought of that. You’ve hit the nail right on the head.
I was furious when I saw the high schoolers protesting against Sheriff Arpaio today. That was so obviously staged for the media, which their organizers called in advance of the “spontaneous” demonstration.

Malia’s papa’s ancestral home of Kenya is even on the fed’s list of the world’s most dangerous nations. But we knew that! Look what he’s been doing since taking office to drag the USA down to the Kenyan status.
