Ron Paul out?

Why is he still interested in accumulating delegates?

The Washington Times is working on a developing report on Ron Paul’s decision to suspend his campaign.

The libertarian congressman campaigning as a Republican, told supporters in an email that he would continue to accumulate delegates to the August Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida.

“Moving forward, however, we will no longer spend resources campaigning in primaries in states that have not yet voted,” he wrote. “Doing so with any hope of success would take many tens of millions of dollars we simply do not have.”

Having won 104 out of the 1,144 delegates needed to capture the Republican nomination, Paul is in fourth place and has no chance of overtaking Romney, who has 966, according to the latest tallies.

Still, he says, “Stay tuned.”  Is this a signal for the disruptions such as those outrageous ones which took place at the  AZ GOP convention on Saturday to continue?  Will he run as a third-party candidate?  Is he paving the way for his son Rand to take over the mantel of head sheep herder?

Listen to the Ron Paulestinians calling out “Heil Hitler!” as they  blatantly demonstrate the movement’s true anti-Semitic bent which Paul has tried to conceal

Now the hopeless Paulbotts have to accept that there is no hope.
Their old man is taking his marbles home or elsewhere maybe???
Good bye and good luck to his noisy rude bunch.

  2. Brandy Baron says:

Could it be that the doddering old loon has had a moment of clarity???? I’m saying my prayers but not holding my breath!

  3. teapartypatriot says:

With moRon paul out, there is clearly only ONE anti-Semite, racist left in the campaign – and we all know who that TheONE is.

  4. Scott says:

Don’t get over confident. This guy and his obedient and obsessive drones have some other scheme up their sleeves.

  5. AZ Conservative Guy says:

Maybe Ron Paul’s embarrassed by the caliber of followers he’s attracted? Nah.
Moron David Fitzgerald is right up his alley. This deceitful fool is a Republican District chairman, and his cadre actually thinks he’s been elected to the post of Republican State Chairman.

  6. teapartypatriot says:

“Moving forward, however, we will no longer spend resources campaigning…”

Moving “FORWARD” ? So is moRon Paul now officially joining the OBOZO campaign ?

  7. Seen It All says:

The elderly Ron Paul bully, spewing sputum as he yelled at conservative Republican Sharon Ferguson, is Tom Buggeln. He is a longtime, well known wacko.

  8. Another LD11 PC says:

Read Paul’s press release. He’s not out. He’s just not spending any more money in primary states. It’s on his website.

We thought that point was clearly made. You might also have noticed the question mark in the headline. You ask others to read your comments. Try reading our posts. S-l-o-w-l-y.

The following was sent to me by someone I know and trust. It is part of a much longer email. I am not including the writer’s name, since I have not asked for permission to post it here. Since there is no authentication, you can process the following information as you see fit. I unequivocally believe each and every word:

“I also was watching David Fitzgerald (old LD 6 Chair) and watched what he was doing. Now, I know he was complaining of ballot stuffing and I also know him to be a Ron Paul supporter, which I questioned ‘why was he even there to begin with?’ When David returned to his LD after picking up the ballots to hand out for his district to vote, he was counting out some extra ballots (how many I don’t know, but visibly it looked to be about 50-60 ballots he placed under his arm, that never moved, and the balance he had passed out to his District. David then proceeded to walk away from his group to a place by himself, with his back to the majority of the crowd, took the extra ballots from under his arm and was doing something with them for a short period of time. As he was turning around again so I could see the ballots now in his hand, he was neatly stacking the ballots so all the corners were even as if to only have one ballot in his hand. He then proceeded to the ballot box and dumped all of the ballots into the box at one time! Now, if you are asking me to prove that he was stuffing the ballot box, I cannot prove it, but I do know that he did not give out those ballots to anyone, and no one else gave him ballots to deposit into the box on his way to disposing of them. So, it is up to you to come to whatever conclusion you choose. I can only tell you what I saw.”

    • Overtaxed1 says:

I also heard and saw David Fitzgerald go for far more ballots than we had people left in LD6. There was no reason to collect 52 ballots when we had less than 20 left in our group. If the ballot box was stuffed it was by the Ron Paul crowd. One has to wonder if he passed out more to his people then the few he had to bring back to the LD6 PCs. I am an LD6 PC and heard him say he was going after 52 ballots. Why?

The old fool in the yellow shirt is Tom Buggeln. He was known to be a schmuck years ago. The years have only intensified his looneyness. Tom Buggeln is a picture perfect image of the kind of garbage Ron Paul attracts. He is loud, boorish and crass, besides being dumb as dirt. This is not opinion. It is fact!

    • Sgt. Flapjaw says:

Seen it, you are right about Buggeln, I was stuck with him poll watching one day. If I were to try to invent a typical Paulite I would be wasting my time because you can’t find a better one than Tom Bubbeln.

  12. Keith B says:

LD 6 got what they paid for. Mark Zemel, for reasons known only to him, backed David Fitzgerald in both the legislative race and then the election for the district 6 chair. The previous chair of district 6 was a competent leader, who at least knew how to organize a meeting and play fair by Roberts Rules. Alienating grown-ups and replacing them with children, which seems to have happened statewide, is the natural consequence of the actions of Zemel and others like him.

Good people of the new ld 20 – you have been warned of Zemel’s antics! Dont allow the story of LD 6 to be repeated!

    • Had It says:

While I agree with you about Zemel’s involvement with David Fitzgerald, I strongly disagree with your characterization of David Braswell as a “competent leader.” Braswell is not a conservative. He is a self-promoter of the first order, who ran sham meetings featuring barbershop quartets for “entertainment” and didn’t want to hold candidate forums for our own district candidates. After his defeat as a short timer to an appointed senate seat by Lori Klein, who is actually skilled, he never showed up to another meeting. So much for his concern for the district. His only concern was and is for himself. He rarely attended the monthly EGC meetings which were among his obligations in his capacity as chairman. Instead he would send Horst Krauss, the district secretary. Krauss, the owner of a nudist colony was defeated as a precinct committeeman, so he no longer attends LD 6 meetings either. Zemel is a typical small man with a chip on his shoulder. There can be no dissent with his views, which as you pointed out are all over the place. He initially promoted Fitzgerald and now wants to recall him. I’m moving out of the district and couldn’t be happier. Reapportionment would have done the job, but now I’m doubly sure to be away from these clowns.

  13. Doc says:

Keith B & Had it-I haven’t seen you folks here before. I HAVE seen & worked with Mark Zemel on several issues.

I can’t speak as to LD6 activities, because I’m in LD1. However, Mark has helped me NUMEROUS TIMES while learning th’ ropes of Precinct Committeemanship. In each & every instance, his advice has been SPOT-ON. There’s many R.I.N.O.’s up here, yet thanks to Mark’s expert tutelage, I’ve managed to sway more than a few over to a more Conservative stance. AND have been able to at least have civilized conversations with those that remain “on th’ fence”.

As to his stature…all I can say is it’s never the size of th’ dawg in th’ fight…

As to his change of heart re:Fitzgerald, I believe it takes real guts to stand for a guy then find out truth, & publically work to repair the mistake.

May I suggest you 2 focus on the goals @ hand…which are a Republican Controlled House, Senate, & White House come th’ mornin’ of Nov. 7th, 2012

    • Overtaxed1 says:

Mark Zemel is a consistent conservative, you can depend on him for the truth. People are so jealous because his hard work and opinion are respected. I also voted for David Fitzgerald, none of us knew he was an immature crazy Ron Paul fanatic but the alternative was known to most of us and Wesley Harris was not acceptable. Wes is an angry, hot tempered left leaning egomaniac. Wes is also a convicted felon. Please tell me what choice we had? Now lets get busy and throw O Bama out along with Jeff Flake and all the other ego driven fools.
