Sen. Rand Paul abandons dad, endorses Mitt Romney

Just days before Father’s Day, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) is giving his father Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) a gift equivalent of a political black eye and ticking off Libertarian-leaning Paulbots, to boot.

Rand Paul’s endorsement of Mitt Romney has caused quite a stir among his father’s supporters, lamenting the younger Paul’s “betrayal” of his father’s principles.  Here’s the press release blasting Rand’s defection.

The Christian Science Monitor has the report here.

…and the Paulbots are becoming even more hysterical than usual and are massively foaming-at-the-mouth even more than usual.

Sorry Teocon, we are not foaming-at-the-mouth. We are standing up for conservative principles of small government and individual liberty. Many thought Rand was with us, but instead he is playing politics and abandoning principles, not just his father. Endorsing someone who loves bailouts of his bankster buddies, agrees with Bush and Obama “stimulus”, thinks Bernanke is doing a good job, who wants to give money I make working hard to a dictator in a foreign land we will soon bomb, who hasn’t one ounce of integrity and is a walking talking point – that is crazy.

It’s quite simple: if Rand Paul wants any help from the RNC when he runs for reelection in 2016, he has to support the RNC’s candidate for president this year. He’s not betraying his dad, because the math shows zero chance for Cong. Paul to get the nomination.

All by DESIGN!!!! Did anyone know that the largest contributer to the Ron Paul campaign and effort is a man named Peter Thiel? Anyone know who he is? Well, he was the founder of Pay Pal…. and is now … wait for it… the HEAD OF THE STEERING COMMITTEE for Bilderberg!!!! Oh, Don’t take my word for it… LOOK IT UP YOURSELF!!!

Bilderberg? Who is Bilderberg? Again, DO SOME RESEARCH!!!

Thiel supported Ron Paul to get all the Tea Party folks on board with the Repubs, because they were afraid Romney wouldn’t be able to make it over the top on his own… then they staged all the theatrics with candidates dropping out one after the other leaving Bilderberg’s preferred minion in the lead. Ron Paul was there to promote Rand Paul, who has now fulfilled his part in the theatrical production and thrown his support behind Mitt Romney!

    Fait Accompli.

And everybody thought Rand Paul was someone special….

Hey! You’re as big a conspirator as I am! Enjoyed your thoughts.
Do you think Rand will get the VP nod?

      • Sovereign says:

I think it depends on whether the Repubs decide they need the Tea Party numbers for the general election… Tea Party folks are stunned that Rand abandoned his Dad for Romney, (who, by the way endorses NDAA!) but a VP nod to Rand might help put the sheeple back to grazing the pasture again soothed that, at least, they got something in exchange for Rand’s betrayal of the Tea Party mantra…

Frankly, I think the impending economic implosion will render all this somewhat academic — its gonna be a long, hot summer…

Anyone remember the former governor of New Mexico, Gary Johnston? Want to see an explicit 2 minute YouTube video of what I wish were part of the GOP platform?

This may be too libertarian for many of you, so exercise caution in viewing.

Sen. Rand Paul told Fox News host Sean Hannity: “My dad has a legion of young followers who are on the Internet, and they think they rule the Internet. Maybe they do and maybe they don’t.”

He gets the fact that many of the Paulestinian bomb throwers are arrogant nuts. I know quite a few of them up here. One thing for sure, he understands that his father isn’t going to be the nominee.
